I'm really hoping for the M6 EVO. I have been looking at a more agile bike that pops off the jumps and rails out of the corners. So I got a slopestyle and now I have a great all around bike and my knarly DH bike. The slopestyle handles at least 75% of what I ride but when I need the M6 its the...
First thanks for all the feedback. It was great to hear what people are running.
For myself I went out and ran the tubeless setup with the highroller on an 823 rim and this time tried the Hutchison tire seal (its like stan's but looks more like snot). I made it half a run down the hill and...
I have gone back and forth about tubeless tires on my DH bike and have tried a few different things some successful some not. This season I built up a new wheel set and used Mavic 823 rims. I wanted to run Intense tires but since they dont make a tubeless tire I tried using a regular tire with...
That makes more sense to me with this expenation. This isn't what came across to me either in the pole question or the clarification of it in the first post.
I understand what you are trying to get at but I think eliminating the weight and cost of a material reduces this to an academic point of which materials properties are better suited to DH. For that you could just go get the specifications on the material and it wouldn't make any difference...
I bought the frame wrap this off season and used it on both my bikes. So far I love the stuff. It was easy to put on and seems to work well. It also bonds to itself so one of the times I had a rock scrape a hole in the covering (it did its job and protected the frame) and then I just cut another...
I ordered the EVS brace and when I got it and tried it on I came to the conclusion that it would be too cumbersome for me to wear. I originally bought it because of price. I use a 661 flight helmet and didn't like the feel of the brace at all. The only adjustability in it is removing the foam...
Here is a pic of the one I just theoreticaly sold on ebay (the guy hasn't responded or paid me yet). I think the green is a bit lighter than either of pics in the links you have here.
Sicklines has the Vendettas listed at 961g with crank arms and spindle. They are individual arms pressed onto a non-isis spindle. They are nice because the crank arms and self extracting so no special tools needed.
Did you get the 83mm spindle? I am running Diety's with the 83mm setup. I would imagine you can run anything you like as long as its made for the wider setup.
My 09 arsenal. My M6 got a makeover with new parts and then I just got an Intense SS:
Frame: Intense M6
Fork: 09 888 WC RC3
Wheels: Hope Pro II hubs, white 823 rims, DT swiss competition spokes
Cranks: Diety Vendetta Cranks
Drive train: SRAM X0 X9
Stem: Sunline V1
Bars: Sunline V1...
I think we as riders got careless. In the not too recent past you wouldnt park at the drop out point because it would be obvious you where riding the illegal trails. If you where shuttling everyone was careful to swing by quickly when their riders where at the bottom jump in and get out of...
I came from a Versus Weapon X which has a 16BB and so I thought I might not like how low the M6 was but after I got it and started riding I didn't really notice that much. I do bang the cranks from time to time but not nearly as much as I thought I would. Also after riding a section at least...
Actually I should clarify that I dont necessarily need to silk-screen but do some sort of transfer. I have seen people with these types of transfers on their jerseys before that where done in small qtys. I cant imagine that they paid the exorbitant prices just to get a few done so my...
I have a bunch of Royal cycling jerseys that I would like to silk-screen my name, logo and all my sponsors logos on. Last year I used my inkjet printer and iron on paper but this was difficult to get the transfer right and bled the ink on the jerseys. Does anyone know of a good source for...
I just built an Intense SS and was really considering the Hammershmidt. I ended up going with an E13 DRS guide mainly due to price and the newness of the thing but would love to hear how you like it once you have gotten it out on dirt.
I just built up an Intense SS and the thing is awsome. I can pedal it to the top of the hill yet it feels almost as good as my M6, minus a few inches of travel, on the way back down.
