Hey all,
Been out of the mtb scene a few years but recently got bit by the bug again. I couldn't pass up go-ride's deals so I picked up their last medium El Cuervo. I'm building it like the Chumba F5 I regretfully sold but this new ride should rip. It's a budget-ish build; $7 fsa bb...
38.36 lbs complete. I need to switch out the rear tire/seat and also try to make some magic with some carbon, to make an lg1 type guard... to lose the bash guard.
With the marzocchi roco world cup, king headset, and seat clamp it was 10.41lb.
Tmsracing,
Are you Brenden or his friend? I like the new paint. Get a chainguide! :)
New to my 08 66 ata... is this correct:
top right leg:main chamber
top left leg: preload
bottom right leg: par valve
...and you are suppose to run 30psi over on the par valve right? What kind of pressures are you running? I weigh 140lb. Also what is the maximum or range of pressures...
Gathering some parts... No more white, i promise.
Some questions about the fork, anyone have baseline setup pressures and/or range for the 66 ata? I skimmed through their 'manual' and didn't see much about it. Also enlighten me about the air valve on the left leg, and the par valve...
That's funny my friends F4 is also missing a spoke on the back wheel haha.
F4/F5 with the totem seems like the hot setup. I've only ridden chair lift downhill, but how does it do in the trails/freeride?
Thanks for the kind words and tips...
As for the chain guide, do i have it set up with too much tension?
Also, which bolt snaps? Is it the upper shock mount bolt? I'll be sure to carry spares.
Hey,
Here is my first dh bike. True 'budget' build i think... i am only $1300 into it and couldn't be any happier. The only thing giving me trouble is the fork (04 888r), the compression side doesn't work. Any suggestions? It probably has never been serviced. I will probably replace it...
