Do we know what the YT Capra is yet?

I believe they do, it's called a Banshee Spitfire. :)

any dh riders here from pomona, claremont, la verne, san dimas, glendora or covina?

There are a bunch. Swing by Incycle in San Dimas, they sponsor a DH team and can give you some good info on local trails.

    XT Trail/M785 Brakes for DH?

I've been running them on my DH bike for about 5 months now including 5 days of riding in Whistler with no issues, they are great brakes. The only downside is that the finned brake pads are really expensive, but I am pretty sure you can get non-finned pads for much cheaper now.

    2012 World Cup Dates

The Hafjell course looks legit, a couple of those rock gardens in the trees look nasty and would probably get even crazier in the rain.

On board video's from different races

Awesome videos! I like how you added speed and heart rate, interesting to see that stuff. Also makes me really want to pack up the bike and go do some riding in Spain.

Return of the Blur 4x, in carbon

Those angles on the old Blur 4x are with 100mm fork. So if you run a 130mm fork on it would get about a 66.5 degree headangle and a 13 inch bottom bracket. And I completely agree about the angle set! With an angle set you are looking at almost $3000, the same cost as a carbon V10 (which...

Return of the Blur 4x, in carbon

Nah, it would have to be an upgrade over the Blur 4x, not a lateral move.

Return of the Blur 4x, in carbon

I like the idea but it needs to be a bit slacker. For me, a 66.5 or so head angle with a 130mm fork would be ideal. I keep waiting for someone other than Banshee to come out with a slack, low and light trail bike as a potential replace my Blur 4x. The wait continues....

    2011 Demo Questions

Agreed. I am 5'10" and ride a med. It feels spot on. I came off of a med. Socom and the Demo's cockpit is definitely smaller than the Socom.

    2011 Demo Questions

About 175 lbs and the stock 400 lbs spring that comes with the medium. But I want to try a 350 lbs spring since I was only getting about 23-25% sag when it was measured at the shop.

    decisions, decisions,

Of those 3, I have only ridden Highlands. It has a good mix of trails from beginner to advanced and they are all really fun. Definitely spend a day or 2 there.

    Blur4X for XC

I have a Blur 4x that I use as my everything except DH bike and absolutely love it. Been riding it for about a year now in SoCal and haven't had any issues with it. Like others have said it isn't the best climber out there(especially techy climbing because of the low bottom backet) but it is...

State of the Union: trailbikes for real men.

It's been mentioned before but a Blur 4x with a longer fork absolutely rocks. Slack and low and weighs in around 30 lbs. The only 2 drawbacks at is that is sucks for techy climbing because the pedals smash into everything and that Santa Cruz (in their infinite wisdom) stopped making it. If I...
