Where in Alberta?
In Calgary area:
Moose Mountain (kananskis country, west of calgary) has some good DH riding, there's good XC/AM out there as well - a lot of it is damaged from the recent rains that we received and is not quite yet accessible due to a massive bridge washout.

I had trouble re-installing this nut and was only able to make it tight enough to start grabbing by holding onto the brass compression adjuster with needlenose pliers and turning the nut with a spanner. Might be something to try as it's probably a bit loose already...I've also had good luck...
My best man lives there...just look for the drunk Canadian guy.
Commute in was excellent this am. Has anyone figured out how to have a bite before waking up so you're not halfway full while pedaling and not halfway starved at the same time?
That's how we have done it in the past for logrides: We use a Fiskars axe for the chopping.
Though...with the bigger saws that I've acquired we've been burning 2-stroke a lot more.
066 w/ 32" bar. yes I lug it into and around the bush!

Stihls might be the best for the little girly saws, but for the real saws the competition is pretty heated between Husky/Jred and Stihl and then you have to add Dolmar into the mix for the 50cc and 80cc classes
I can fit my MS260 into my backpack...haven't tried the 440. If it does fit, I'll...
My commuter is a '98 bigfoot that gets ~120miles a week of usage. Front hub /wheel is original and the rear wheel was replaced shortly after getting the bike in '98 - neither has ever been rebuilt. BB is original. Indy C fork is original as is the no-name headset.
hate that show. I want to see what saws they run, techniques, etc,...not a competition for number of loads between the different companies, drama, and dudes taking unnecessary risks for the camera..
What she doesn't know....
Just be sure to be the one to start it and while it's running, offer to empty it. She doesn't find out, you're in the good books for doing chores. Profit.
Tip:
The dishwasher does a nice job of cleaning up chainsaw parts. I throw my flock style air filters in there, clutch cover, bar, any thing that can't get seized up.
Tip 2:
If you can fit your saw in a backpack (bar up), be careful setting your beers on top of it. The dogs can puncture...
I'd also take a good look at the 353 and 359...they don't have the expensive "XP" sticker on them, but I think they're closer to "pro" saws than the rancher series. The 346XP is the badass of the 50cc saw class, but is more $$ as well. Check the weights of them - I've found it surprising how...
I haven't been diggin the later Kranked movies....
I find NSX movies cool because they're not high budget like the NWD movies and they aren't overly filled with "stars". I guess they're just something that I can relate to a bit easier. (plus Digger always manages a pretty sweet Simmons...

The cool thing about BC is that you can say that about Golden, Invermere, Fernie, Revelstoke, Nelson, Penticton, Kelowna, Kamloops, Williams Lake, ..., ..., ..., ..., ..., ..., ... before even mentioning any of the resorts. We have some pretty decent stuff around here as well. good pedals, good...
