    light seats

I've never had luck with seats until I got a SLR Carbon! The carbon rails are beefcake, taken so many slams and crashes. When I used to go through saddles as a once per month or two ordeal. Since then I've had the SLR Carbon so long I've worn the front and sides away to the point the material...

    Saint brake adjusters?

Winding the free stroke screw in will bring the lever closer to the bar whilst keeping the bite point in the same place. It makes no noticeable difference, anything over 3mm difference would be an exaggeration.

what are the thinest strongest flat pedals out now days??

It's not a good thing for pedalling, of course. But it does aid in stability when plowing. The Twenty6 are always stiffer than most, even when the bushings wear they're tapered so they'll resist. This could be changed I guess by regular maintenance and switching grease for oil (suspension...

what are the thinest strongest flat pedals out now days??

The cranks were gravity lights from that picture. And I'd say the Titanium axles on those pedals cost about the same as the cranks. I'd call it as the crank arm being just too weak. Now, as someone owning both a set of Twenty6 Prerunner Ti's and a set of Point1 Racing Podium's I'd say I have...

    TR250 sneak preview on Pinkbike

Poor explanation on my behalf here. 83mm BB and 150 hubs are supposed to be together, yah. I just don't like the lack of options as for chainsets. You've got Saint, and overwise venture to the world of pressfit or somewhat unreliable options. What I was trying to say was ditch the 83x150...

    TR250 sneak preview on Pinkbike

Viva la revolution! I love the look and idea behind this kind of bike. I've never got on with DH bikes, always too tall, even when I tried a Sunday with a negative rise stem, zero stack headset and flat bars, it just felt too tall. Then the travel always feels too much, wallowing and not...

    tubeless weight

Why in hell would you need 2 scoops? Cheap Specialized 1.9-2.2 tube = 175 +/- 5g Mavic UST tubeless valve 12g 3/4 scoop of Stans 45g So 57g give or take 5 Or if you're on non tubeless rims Stans yellow tape 8g Stans olympic valve stem 7g 3/4 scoop of Stans 45g So 60g give or...

    The tires of Fort Bill

Kovarik was on a set of muddy Mary's, and he's showing silver logo's at all times too. Perhaps he's gone weight weenie? Hill was running his ever favoured Specialized Butcher proto's, who wants to point crash blame at them?

2010 Formula THE ONES! Whats with the new design!!!

I bought a set of the 08's when they were in their first few months of release. They were the worst brake I have ever used. For starters, the install. There was very little pad clearance for the rotor to fit through. So with even the slightest warp would leave you with skimming or dragging...

Cool "one-off" or limited DH stuff

It was at the Mountain Cycle booth at interbike, no idea what else was behind it, but I suspect it was simply a concept bike.

    SOOOOOO many stem choices !!

I took those pictures. All bolts were there, just 1 missing the head after the stem twisted. His setup was fine, the bolts were the supplied steel bolts. The guy is good with maintenance and only had the stem a week prior to its failure. The problem was the rider. Guppy was and still is a...

    5.10 2010 Product

There's a few places that'll re-sole any shoes with 5.10 Stealth rubber soles. That'd solve my problem with wanting a comfy, good looking padded shoe that you can pedal well in.

    tubeless ?

I can't say this is that much of a reliable source, since I haven't yet tried to find out myself. But my co-worker (a self confessed weight weenie) says that he weighed the scoop that comes with the bottle, and then weighed the scoop full of Stans sealant. He claims the Stans sealant to be...

    Totem Decal Kit

Where are you getting this 'Totem decal kit' from? Mostly it depends where you are getting them from, since you can buy some 'Totem decals' but they are just a bunch of stickers and not the actual stickers, unlike the kit you would get from Rockshox or one of their importers. Shoot off an...

Oiled disc pads now they slip

I may be a little late for this, but I find special solutions work wonders, even better than 99% alcohol, and burning the pads. (which weakens the pad compound and can make it crumble if done repeatedly.) In the UK we can get this high powered solvent solution which will remove any oil I have...

    Stans Sealant

I've had a few ride saving seals from the wonderful fluid that is Stans, I started off cautious of the whole concept on trusting something that isn't there to keep my tire up, but after riding over a few nails I realized that I could rely on it, and rely on it I have. I have had countless...

Proper Pics of the GIANT GLORY 09!!!!

That is a dumb way of thinking, of course their is money in patenting the DW link, DW also makes money off his patent buy selling the companies who are willing to pay the rights to use the DW link. Independent Fabrication, Iron Horse, Ibis and Pivot Cycles had no problem paying, but Giant played...

    Suggestions on body armor?

Hey man, Im also small at 5'5" and i am using the 661 pressure suit pro (2008). It is a comfy piece of armor with a lot of adjustability as to where you place your pads and tightness, The 3 strap belt helps keep the back and tail bone protector tight to your back but without needing to be...
