hey,
I'm trying to swap out the bearings in a stumpy evo from 2012 - and i have no idea how to get out the ones in the main frame (3 bearings total - and they are all totally broken - compared to the ones in the link)... any idea if i can pry them out both sides or something??!?
hey
basically you need to open both ends of the lowers - to do so take the fork of the bike - the front wheel out open the nut on the left leg - then take off the red cap for compression adjust (2 small hex in the holes on the side) - then take it off - hold the golden adjuster with a plier...

hi guys,
i'm going to be in NJ/NY this august for a few days and then start a little roadtrip through the Northeast with some friends and i wanted to know if any of you monkeys could recomend me a Bike shop somewhere in that area that has a bigger stock of interesting stuff and bike-clothing...

@norbar oh yeah right, didnt think that far ahead:)
you could just have one homebase, but it might be more comfortable to stay in maribor for 2 days or how every long you plan to -and then go to schladming or vice versa.... saves you from driving around 145 miles one way after a hard day of...
you deff should get a rental car - maribor is 45 min from me and schladming is 2,5 hrs if there is no traffic - leogang is 3 hours - depending on traffic and route you choose ....
be careful if you take an austrian rental car and try to go to maribor, as their highways are not toll free - but...
hey,
yeah i do like it - i got the frame brand new pretty cheap so i jumped on it not knowing what to expect- but my old frame was gonna give up sooner or later so i took the oportunity to replace it....
well on the climbs its not bad for a 160 mm bike - its got a 1,5 cm longer wheelbase...
thanks for the answer :) cant go any lower with the bars- they are mad low now anyway already - no spacers - 120mm headtube 15 mm riser bar and syntace superforce 50 mm stem :)....
i'll play around with the airpressure then...
when thinking about what i want i was wondering, if its only me...
always take udis opinion over mine! :)
but seriously, i would just try more than one spring! - it can change the ride caracterisitics of bike so much! and even though i do have very steep terrain arround here (schladming style - and more at places - just not so flowy ) i do prefer the...
as i wrote, my settings are HS just about 1 to 1 and a half turn, and LS each one cklick, or nothing - depending on the track
I ride on pretty steep and rough stuff with it here, and it works really well
if your lbs lets you try the 450 go for it and give it a chance :)
careful, I'm not...
how much is 15 stone in kg?
I'm running the Canecreek with a 350 spring - originally they send me a 250 - then had to go up to 300 because it was unridable - and now I'm more than happy with the 350 - i was finally able to open up the compression and rebound without bottoming and having the...
it does have air assist- and i did put in like 10 strokes - the gauge on my pump doesnt work so well :)
maybe i'll try it again without air and keep adding up compression till i feel a difference - hope nothing is broken internally :/
i found the mechanical preload to take away a lot of the...
might be somewhat of the wrong thread and with all the excitement over the 2012 model the wrong time...
but i was wondering if any of you run the 55 rc3 ti /and or anyone could give me some advice as to why I'm not getting much compression out of the compression dial - i feel like if i turn...
yeah uhm... NO! - except if you want to keep refilling the solo air chamber ... the spring of the team scratched the inside of the stancions by now and wont hold the air all to well....
i think with the 300 you'll be better off... with the DB i'm running a 300 - at around 69-70 kg.... i put in the 2 degree cups - seemed a bit radical in the beginning but the bike is so much more stable at speeds and does corner better too - though you might have to find a what bar lenght you...
