2014 Fox Talas 34 Air Side rebuild question

Gents I just did a standard oil/Seal Job on my Talas. Decided to add float fluid to the air chamber because I had some, and had never done it before. I took the top cap off via the retainer clip and after collecting the 4 tiny springs and bearings that scattered everywhere. I drained the old...

    Dessous by Vorsprung Suspension

Im putting it on a 650B Carbine. Installing the sleeve was actually the first time I have had the Shock apart, and noticed the volume spacer in their while doing so. From the images I found on volume spacers on the web, it looks to be the largest one. I will send steve an email as well, so far...

So is Steve recommending that the volume spacers are removed in most cases?

    Intense m16 2015-16

In my area, ive seen a mass amount of Intense bikes popping up on the trails lately compared to any other brand. Canada has a World Cup Intense Team with a member who won National Champs at MSA on an M9. Who regulary races and qualifies for WC's and EWS Enduro. Intense has put out 3 brand...

    Dessous by Vorsprung Suspension

Very curious how this will affect VPP. I am currently in the market for a suspension upgrade from my RP23 and was considering the CCDB Inline, I just noticed this a few days ago. The fact its a quarter of the price is what has my eyes glued for a real world review.

650B ZTR Flow with Maxxis HR2 issues?

I recently had to replace a few tubes due to punctures on the tires and rim combo mentioned in the title. First off, I couldn't believe how difficult they were to change. I noticed that the tire does not really seat properly into the rim on both front and rear with the same tire. Its only in a...

When pushing in bearings , grease or loctite?

On the same topic, do most of the new Carbon Frames use alum inserts to house the bearings?

SRAM 10 Speed Quick Link Question.

I consider myself a fairly competant home bicycle mechanic, but for the life of me cant figure out how to get this Quick Link Apart. I watched some vids online of people just pressing them together and voila. Is there a trick with the newer black 10 speed quick links? I have had 10 speed on...

When pushing in bearings , grease or loctite?

Just to amplify on Udi's comment. It would not be a regular loctite you use to hold the bearing in place. Its a specific loctite meant to be used when tolerances are out. I had to use it on my Socom Frame a few years back in one area and it worked perfectly. It wasnt very hard to find either...

Best Truing Stand for the Home Mechanic.

This isnt really a DH specific question but here it goes. Id like some recommendations for an affordable wheel truing stand that doesn't have to be mounted to a bench, can accept 650B with multiple axle sizes. Any advice will be great. Chris

    Do I want an M6?

I agree with the above. I owned an M6 for a few seasons. How tall are you? What size is it? Take the time time to set it up right with the proper sag, right spring etc. Its not the most nimble agile bike out there but it will slay anything in its path and picks up speed like crazy. I know a...

    arm-pump victims: some sweet tips

I havent hit up any big mountains in a while, but found that riding lots of rugged XC, and brake lever position were probably the biggest things that helped my arm pump. I also found that switching from a cushy grip, to a more low profile one like the ruffian helped. Theres not a whole lot of...

Few Pics from Canadas East Coast.

Sold both my bikes, waiting for my new steed. Had to get out and enjoy the trails somehow. These pics were taken in one of Halifax N.S. famous #Fight Trail. It offers a wide range of terrain, and is known as some of the most technical mountain biking on the East Coast. #FightTrail.... - a...

Possible Pay Pal Scam. Or is it?

I realize its a SCAM, Im more curious as to what is the point of the SCAM? How would he SCAM me? Hes offering to put more money for shipping onto the asking price. The other email was very similar, buddy was from Malaysia but used a different shipping agent. Strange stuff. It was also a...

Possible Pay Pal Scam. Or is it?

Heres the scoop. I am trying to sell my M6. I have it on numerous sites on the web with the exact same listing. It reeks of a SCAM, but i am not sure at all how it woud potentially work. The first one started off asking some questions about the bike, then jumps into wanting the email...

    Riding in Ireland

Anyone know what it would be like taking my AM bike on the bus from Cork To Ballyhoura MTB trails? Has anoyone ever ridden these trails? From the website it looks like a wide range of skill, but im having a hard time figuring out how to get there from Cork. Partially do to the capabilities of my...

    Riding in Ireland

So turns out I will be in Cork next weekend for a few days. I brought an Intense Tracer and am looking for some trail riding, anything from single track to Downhill. I do not have a car but was wondering if its possible to ride my bike to some local spots, or take a train. Cheers.

    Home Audio question.

I can for sure get the volume off the T.V to output through the amp. You may be right, I never even thought of that. Ill do a bit of research.

    Home Audio question.

I think my issue has to do with having the audio output of my digital receiver going to the T.V audio on the receiver. I wonder if I also have to make a selection in the Blu Ray Audio. Has to be something simple.
