    Chris King

    Chris King parts truly are works of functional art, and I never hear bad things about them. But in my case, the price just isn't worth the advantage. Like DirtyDog said, if you are building the ultimate bike, why not choose these works of functional art.

    Oiled disc pads now they slip

    I've heard that using a propane torch on the brake pads would burn off any oil residue in the pads. I just came over from Pink bike, it feels good to be here, no clutter, I can actually read posts, and the information is thorough. I'm glad I found you guys. Hope I helped.

    Creaky BB....

    From what I'm hearing it sounds like the creaking is coming from the fit between the spindle and bottom bracket. Keeping the spindle clean and lightly greased has seemed to fix the problem for me. Hope I helped, best of luck to you!
