Remi Gauvin and PerformX: 2010 Year in Review

Looks like it was filmed at www.mountwashington.ca the technical riding in the last 2/3rds looks definitely real, but the rollers and jump stuff at the start looks a bit too twitchy and fast to be at real speed. nonetheless remi is ultra fast, congrats on the nationals

    XO vs. X9

A buddy of mine bought a 4x bike to make into a single speed jumper. It had less than 10 rides on it, and i told him i would give him 60$ for the xo short cage that didn't even have a scuff... he was stoked on it. Does this mean I'm going to hell?

    Teach my to scrub (seriously...)

i find its almost like leaning the whole bike/body into a lean or "table" before you take off the lip, and like what fluidride says, push your energy out through the rear wheel because when your mass inertia hits the lip of the jump it wants to go somewhere, but you want to stay low. i ride...

    2nd gen Leatt Brace Proto

armor can be easily custom made (cut, slashed etc) to make it fit right. i know its not ideal but if you want to run both, a bit of ingenuity goes a long way. There are a few groups out there, Some people reallly dont think they need armor and dont want to wear it, they would rather deal with...

2010 World Chamionships Mont Sainte-Anne - Live Thread

Because if it had payed off you would be praising him for his genius. Matti in Champery 07 seemed to be a pretty good call. Perhaps they forecasted the rain that ended up coming late in the mens field would be an hour or two sooner. Lets not kick this horse anymore. It was a gamble and it...

    Custom Paint Helmet Thread!!

wetsanding with 800-1200-2000 grit paper. the stuff that is made for clear coat sanding. started out slow and made sure not to go too deep anywhere. When you wipe it dry between sanding you can see the layers of clear coat and where its higher and lower, sort of like a topography map. it was...

Windham World Cup Finals - Live Thread

wow.... Not trying to rag on the organizers but would it have been possible to get a better 'hot seat'. Just my opinion that the bean bag chair on the decking doesn't really spell out professional world cup level.

    Custom Paint Helmet Thread!!

My visor didnt match because i broke the original one and I didn't really like the purple on the top of the helmet anymore but I wanted to keep some of the original. The paintjob on the visor didnt go so well but i might fix that later. Couple more coats of Krylon clear cote to go. haha

    Should I ride a large?

I guess it depends what you're really comfortable with. What are you on now..take that geometry and decide whether you want a longer bike, taller bike etc. I know longer/lower would be better for downhill because it is more stable, but if you are more likely to throw the bike around in the...
