oh yeah, everything you've said about canada is true, and we all live in igloo's and we LOVE Ewan. And apparently, millks come in bags. you definitely don't want to come here ;)
does anyone else feel that they go faster on rockgarden/sharper turns with high compression/stiffer spring rate?( 23-26%)
i think overall, i go faster in whistler park style, or steep section with proper sag, but i feel i go way faster in rocky trails faster with stiffer rates.
yeah i noticed that too when i switched to u-turn.
rockshox's seem to have really soft rate. on my pike, i run x-firm. i weigh 175lb....
just go with firmer spring. you don't wanna run max compression unless you have to, it performs better with proper spring rate, and reasonable amount of...
i own totem solo-air/coil, and have owned lyrik solo-air, and u-turn with extensive time on all of them in the last two season,
with solo-air, leaking is not really an issue, my totem solo-air o-rings are still working fine after 2 seasons of whistler, and shore.
In addition, solo-air does...
I've ran Enduro seal for a season now, and i've been hearing reports of stanchion wears on the internet.
I do apply triflow after each ride, and keep my stanchions clean when not riding.
Has anyone dealt with enduro seals before? is this a serious threat?
I own a BR, and while it's a great do-it-all bike, and will allow you to ride everything you can imagine, it's not a downhill racing frame. If you plan on racing, i'd steer away from bottlerocket, and go for something lower, and slacker, and bigger.
It's called seasons pass at whistler, it doesnt' matter what you have, things will start to break even with maintenance.
edit:
i own a transition bike, i know if when i bent my deraileur hanger, it cost me 25bux, little things gather up quickly, Also majority of the savings came from...
Things don't need to break to cost you money, and even if you do not go big, or are a light rider, things can go wrong.
You definitely need new brake pad/bleed/tire every season, that can rack up close to 200bux minimum every season, Not to mention, you fall on your derailleur, break your...
Not trying to be a dick, but as a person who was 14 long time ago, and never got allowance. I would strongly recommend you not look at a fully at this stage of your bike purchasing.
Biking is expensive, and you need to pour money into it to keep it in good condition. Things break all the...
buying new fork is stupid, you buy them super cheap off some poser who never rides bikes for like 600-800bux. Then rebuild/tune it to your desire.
However, 1100-1400 bux isn't that bad considering monster Ts were how much back then? plus inflation etc. I'm willing to bet the real value of...
yes it works, i have been running ghetto/stan fluid for some time now.
The fronts been perfect, but the rear loses 2-3 psi every week, but nothing dangerous or concerning at all.
Just get dual ply and you should be great.
Evil bikes or others have dedicated DH bikes with less than dozen bike models, obviously they're going to focus on DH bikes more than Trek, or other big companies would, where they generate more revenue from crosscountry/road/allmountain bikes alot more than DH bikes. DH is still a small market...
get the bass. That amount of travel is really the perfect travel for freeriding.
Slopestyle bikes are really tunable, which makes them really great. With a u-turn, you could probably get 68-67 degree which is ideal for general riding.
