I pre-ordered one the day they announced them, I'm still waiting on my HP Touchpad... but have a very specific purpose in mind for the 7" device. I'm sure we'll see all sorts of interesting things happen with them when they hit the market and get into the hands of the android devs out there...
umm, if my flight actually leaves i'll be there Tuesday and I don't think the Funeral is until Thursday(maybe friday?) in Hamburg, so I'll probably stay the duration in Amsterdam.

My flight didnt make it out today. Rebooked for monday. Instead of a nice Newark -> Hamburg flight, I have Philly -> Toronto -> Reykjavik -> Amsterdam, and then I have a BMW 1er reserved to drive the rest of the way about 480km.

an insta-boot, 2x battery life device 90% as capable as my laptop for the things I generally do on the go.
I can hit wireless tether(ad-hoc, non-paid) on my Incredible2, and turn on a touchpad way faster than my laptop (even with an SSD) can resume and be useful.

its a no-brainer buy at that price point. Do I need one? NOPE! Do I want one? YEP! Will having one entertain me in times I would otherwise be bored? YEP!

i got my confirmation, supposed to ship tomorrow. Worth the wait i guess. Unfortunately I've been reading that there is no native GPS, though wifi location services are not bad, they only work in urban/suburban areas.
not to say there wont be ways to use a bluetooth gps with it, or perhaps even...
just paid $149+shippinh for a 32gb. HP small business store, but I was able to get a cart saved earlier. before they took them down citing stock issues. It let me log in finally, and let me successfully place the order.
yeah, i was the payment information step away from a completed order, now the site is just shot, and they've updated the frontends so you cant order them anymore citing stock issues, I wonder if my cart is still saved in there so i can get the order through once the traffic stops.
