Had a great time as always.
Had a great time at Beech, as usual. Best conditions I've seen so far. Really, REALLY glad they put on two days of lift service for the races this year, but i have to admit that I was a bit disappointed that they closed early on saturday. Other than that, it was a fantastical weekend...
well that sucks. i chuckled to myself when i was perusing the map and saw the photo credit.... "hey, i've met that guy".... then finished by clif bar and continued my death march up to farlow gap.
doesn't sound like forest service thinks much of us mtber's
not good, works a bitch and I haven't ridden a single pedal stroke in 3 and a half weeks, hoping to get out on a road trip and hit some north florida riding at some point.... feelin the itch.
I made it to all three races last year and had an absolute blast trying out DH. I had to bail on this year's races when i heard that it was a single day of practice/race. I can't justify all the driving/hotel/gas/etc for only one day on the mountain. hopefully things are a bit different next...

i blame leelikesbikes for the pump track craze.... but they do look like fun.
I think there were a couple of guys out there, i remember one at the little step down jump before the rock drop, then someone at the banked turn in the grass section, then a guy on the hip jump too.....
anyone know who they are?
I drove straight home from a race at Beech last year and got in around 3 or 4 am. You should be able to manage a few hours of sleep if you jet right after your race run.
Whhaaaaaatt?? That's awesome, is it gonna be on the hill sloping down from the house/compound?
and what's this about hosting a collegiate race? at the Rock Trail or over at Hailes Trails?
