@Juddos: I am currently running the '09 version of Formulas so therefore I can't actually help you with setting your new ones. I will hopefully buy the new Ones anytime soon and I will be able to write a word on them. After rebleeding and changing the pads the old brakes feel very good, although...
If anyone is looking for a lightly used Revolt I have mine on sale. http://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/652331/ . Also, we have one more frame, size S in anodized black, which was a "shop display" so that one will also go cheaper than the retail. @Victor, I'm in the same camp with you now, waiting...
Hi there!
Does any of you happen to know who sells spare parts (and has them in stock) for the Saint SS Rear Derraileur? I'm looking for an inner & outer plate.
Thanks!
Well it is, but the price is not that friendly... 831 apparently stands for 831$.
A bit over kill with those saint cranks and brakes, but an awesome overall setup:
Vanderham's Faction
Polc's Faction
It should arrive (stock) in a week or so and I'll post pics right away. I still don't know what crank (and lenght) and what ring size to buy. And the 9mm fork is another thing I'm a bit uncertain...
This is from NSMB:
I've got a new Evil Faction SS complete and I'm looking for some inspiration for a 4x setup. Any input on components should help.
My current picks are:
Fox F100 80-100mm
XT or SLX cranks ??
E13 Ring 34-35-36 ??
LG1 (LG1+)
11-25 cassette
Saint rear derraileur + XTR shifter
Formula The...
If that will make my Boxxer actually work, I'd love a service manual. I've stripped the fork apart for several times and there is nothing else I can do to make it work better. I've changed the oil, lubed the seals with Super Slick grease, made some plastic shims to fit between the C clips and...
Back on the issue I mentioned about my shock (Fox RC4-not working properly). I torn the rear link apart and found that the teflon bushings had too much friction with the bolts (and this after a season of riding, not after the break in period). I lubed them with a bit of slick grease and the...
What can I do to prevent the "no rebound" for the first 3-4mm of travel(stock RC4)? Tried to play with the rebound adjuster, different air pressures, and still no real improvement...
I'm from Romania, Europe. I've ordered my Boxxer from Bicyclettes de Hull from Ottawa, Canada. I have the PayPal receipt for the fork. Any other advice?
Back on my Race. I've solved (half of the) knocking issue by adding a few thin plastic spacers between the bottom out spring unit and the C-clip that was holding it. The is no more knocking from the left (coil) side of the fork and I've returned to the proposed height (16-14mm left) for the...
I have around 3hrs of riding on my knocking '10 Boxxer Race. I've stripped the coil side before mounting it on the bike and I've also noticed the play of the bottom out assembly (held by the C clip) in it's place. This I think is the thing that causes the knocking. I have all 3 spacers in, and...
Can anyone please tell me how is the '10 Race compared to the older Teams? This should be a fair comparison... I'm sorry if this has been discussed before.
Crank lenght (although shorter helps sometimes) isn't always the problem with smashing rocks. Some may avoid this by focusing on their pedal position in the trickier areas. Same goes to the lower bb found on some bikes. I ran 170mm Diabolus on my 7point and things were pretty much ok.
