Elevation has to be higher than 1250. We're at 1000 in Atlanta and that's a good bit north of here, about an hour or so north. The moto trails there are pretty good from what I've heard and seen on video. Been wanting to check them out.
Please have the dh race Sunday. I've been to every race you guys have had because having 2 days of riding makes it justifiable to drive from Atlanta. I really hate to hear this will be the last race out there. You guys have done an incredible job and it's been super fun every race.
One of my favorite rides is to do runs on the end of pinhoti 2 and the beginning of 3. 3 or 4 runs down each gives a ton of descending the climbs up aren't bad either.
Troy,
Thanks for showing us around this past weekend. The new trail on the big hill is sick. Can't wait to get up there for the race. If anyone hasn't ridden here you need to check it out.
Chuck,
Good idea about the Highlander. That place is fun. Not sure if they could hold enough people, 200 came out for the Seasons premier at Sweetwater. Do you know if they have a big screen? As many times as I've been in there, I can't remember if they have a big screen. I know that the...
I've been in touch with Anthill Films regarding hosting a premier party for their new movie, Follow Me. If you haven't seen the teasers, check them out because it looks sweet. I've attached a link to the trailer in this post. I'm not sure about location yet, but my thoughts were Sweetwater or...
+1 on that
That guy may have been out of line in his tone but you guys are the ones that seem like a**holes if you have to resort to name calling. Grow up. Still had a good time personally though.
Great time today. You guys have a great course up there, and I'm looking forward to getting out there again soon. I got some pretty good pics at the race. I couldn't put them all on my flickr because of the stupid upload limit but I put some of the better ones. Check it out.
ryan12210's...
I keep looking at that pic trying to figure out how that guy got in that position. Where is this on the track? It looks like the rebound bucked him but the trail looks pretty flat and he's up so damn high.
I'm not trying to say that is the only way to set up a bike. I think it should be obvious to just about anyone that testing on a trail is the best/only way to get it exactly how you want it. My understanding was that the "drop test" was a decent place to start from. You obviously know a lot...
Why would you not agree with this? If the tire is leaving the ground from a drop like that, you will be losing traction on trail chatter(roots, rocks, high speed repetitive hits). Definitely one of the first suggestions I ever learned on setting up a dh bike.
