    One point I haven't seen mentioned yet is the sheer number of manufacturers of high end bicycles. Each and every one of them has to R&D, build tooling, logistics, etc. When talking economies of scale, I think it's more useful to look at units per manufacturer per year, rather than total units...

    Tioga Launches ZEROaxle MT-ZERO Pedals

    They should have offset the center plane of the pedal platform below the centerline of the bearing. If the pedals hang down a bit, they'll always want to sit flat, not stand on edge. Then you'd only need pins on the top side, and the bottoms could have grind plates for the street riders. :thumb:
