Rock Shox Dual Position Air forks - can I jump in lowered mode?

Hi guys, I'm thinking of getting the 2014 Lyrik DPA - but instead of using the low travel mode for climbs only, I'd like to ride it most of the time and use full travel occasionally at steeper descents. Will I have any issues with it? I'll probably do lots of jumps and rough stuff. I've heard...

    Time cleats material?

Hello guys, Does anyone know an exact brass type that time uses for their cleats? I have a possibility of casting few pairs of CuZn39Pb2, do you think it would be a good material - more durable than the original one? Cheers

7iDP Knee Guards - anyone tested?

Hi guys, Has anyone ridden in 7iDP knee pads? I'm mostly interested in FLEX or CONTROL model, but any general long-term opinion about this brand will help me. Won't they mesh-up too quickly? Are CONTROL pads as comfortable as FLEX model (during walking as well as riding - not only downwards)...

Installing Pike 454 dual air system to Revelation RL - possible?

Hi, guys I need a quick and professional advice. Is it physically possible to install the dual air spring from Pike 454 to my Revelation RL and will my fork work as fluently as originally (lowered to 100mm)? Actually, the negative air shaft is what I'm interested in - is it the same in...

    Which Leatt

I'll try a bigger setting later, but even now I have a little bit of play between my chest/backs and front/rear pad - is it acceptable? Maybe I've chosen the wrong size, is S much smaller than M?

    Which Leatt

Giro remedy (s). I've got the pads adjusted for the most skinny version (although there surely are slimmer people out there), but I'm at the edge of the M size (s/m).

    Which Leatt

All right guys, I've bought Leatt GPX Comp II brace. And as the front-rear motion of my head feels OK, the lateral range of motion seems to be a bit restricted (when turning my head or leaning it on left or right). Will DBX Pads be lower on the sides too?

    Which Leatt

Got the same dillema as the thread's author, so if anyone has any new insight on these two braces then I'd be glad to get to know it ;) Has anyone tried to buy GPX Club II brace and install the DBX comp II pads? Is there a big difference in head's rearward range of motion?

Which elbow guards should I get? TLD, RaceFace, IXS...

These G-forms look quite nice, but are quite pricey - besides, I can't buy them via chainreactioncycles so I'd have to pay additionally for shipping. What can you say about Rockgardn landing zone elbow pads?

Which elbow guards should I get? TLD, RaceFace, IXS...

Hi guys, After having my elbows torn last days, I'm considering buying some elbow guards. They would be used mainly at 4x races, so they must not affect my feeling of the bike. Good comfort and ventilation (so that I can wear them in hot days) highly recommended, don't have to be...

Troy Lee Designs XC Lite / OAKLEY ECHO shorts - quick feedback needed

Alright guys - thanks for advices. I've eventually decided on Oakley Echo shorts ;) Nice site, although there are no shorts that I'm interested with (by now) ;)

Troy Lee Designs XC Lite / OAKLEY ECHO shorts - quick feedback needed

I see them in http://www.motocrossgiant.com/ for $40 - I quess it's VERY cheap and I am quite a nerd if I don't take them. However, I see few drawbacks of these: a bit too long and are available only in black (it may sound stupid, but for me black clothes are a grind during sunny days - I even...

Troy Lee Designs XC Lite / OAKLEY ECHO shorts - quick feedback needed

Okay, thanks ;) I guess that sprint shorts are not for me as I'd like to pedal a lot in them. Yeah, but I also see that Nema's or Fox'es are not better... I have found yet another very interesting shorts - Oakley Echo. Have you (or anybody else?) had any contact with them?

Troy Lee Designs XC Lite / OAKLEY ECHO shorts - quick feedback needed

Thanks for an answer ;) So, you say that they are a bit below the knee - and that may be the problem for me, as I am used to quite short shorts... Maybe you can compare them (as far as "lightweight", ventilation is concerned) to sprint shorts? I thought about them too, but am afraid...

Troy Lee Designs XC Lite / OAKLEY ECHO shorts - quick feedback needed

Hi, What length are these shorts (to the knee or longer?)? They are called to be "xc" ones, will they be good in 4cross too? Are the users glad of them? And what is the difference between these and XC Air shorts? Thanks for any info ;) I really count on your quick reply...

Marzocchi 4x 2007? (vs Argyle 409, Revelation Race)

I have an opportunity to buy absolutely new Marzocchi 4x fork, 2007 version, in a good price. I am going to have some 4x races next year (I write in "DJ" forum as this one seems to be most appropiate, besides, I hope that dirt riders might have used RS Argyle too). Is Marzocchi fluent, but...

What is the difference between RS Reba QR20 and Revelation fork?

Hey Can anyone tell me the difference between these two forks? Reba and revelation. Revelation is claimed to be stronger - as a fork for all mountain - but is it so in reality? If yes, than why, whats different inside them? (regardless fork's travel of course, lets take RACE models into...

Is the Nuke Proof Radiator rear hub a hub for years? Long-term feedbacks needed

Hi! I've got the possibility to buy this hub (used but only for a few months). Although price is relatively low, it is significant for my budget and I can only afford it if this hub will live for a long time. So, what're your opinions? Won't it break after one or two years? I'm quite...

    Reba for Dirt Jump use?

Hi :) Sorry for refreshing the topic, but times have changed, forks have been improved... I'm considering buying the 2009 Reba Race. It will be an allround-fun fork - mainly for some beginner 4x (I mean beginner in racing, not in jumping/riding tracks like that), but I won't avoid some...

Sram PC-991 vs Campagnolo Record c9

Hi ! I am racing some amateur 4x and don't know which chain should I choose. I've heard that Campagnolo is much more durable than Sram - but won't it break within one (or two) seasons? Is it strong enough for gate starts? :) Or did anyone ride on Wipperman Connex 904 (or 900, 908)? Any...
