I'm looking for XC style as it's the first ride since my injury and I'm on a new bike (to me).

I have a tendency to hang my right foot out in corners so I use a tow-clip and duct tape to hold my right foot on the pedal. I also run no pedal at all on the left thus allowing me to properly Flintstone through rock gardens.

dhkid, even if you get everyone to sign something like that you can still be sued for negligence, i.e. someone impaling themselves on a metal course marker.
I usually make the decision based on the terrain I'd clear and what sort of terrain I have to look forward to once I get the wheels back on the ground. Also, if you're gonna try and "jump" a rock garden you better clear it otherwise you're in for a good rattle when you make contact.
Anyone know of a good soft-style tool box for a race weekend?

1. How far away am I going to race?
2. What is the weather supposed to be like?
3. How close is it to bike shops?
