A little chainline / boost help plz :)

Thanks! You say “if” but what about the exact above setup? You see, the 3mm difference is what’s screwing me up :)

A little chainline / boost help plz :)

Thanks! I’m actually starting from scratch with this one. But that makes sense. But the Wolf boost chainring would get me the proper chainline?

A little chainline / boost help plz :)

Hey folks! Quick question. I'm building up a '18 Transition Throttle and never really messed around with Boost before. I have an XD driver on the i9 so grabbing a 11-42 cassette. That said, I want something small up front like a 28t. That means cinch chainring. So will this give me the right...

Shifter handlebar clamp for Saint M820?

So looks like I have a Black, Rear - I-Spec B - Direct Attach shifter...So I need any kind of clamp to affix it to my bars but not in the way of my Hope Lever...Ugh

Shifter handlebar clamp for Saint M820?

Sorry, newb question! Just bought one and I mistakenly got the direct-attach I think because there's no clamp for the handlebars. Before I buy the cheapest thing, I wanted to ask the experts. What's compatible with this thing to mount on my bars? I'm running Hope brakes/levers so just don't want...

    Awesome. Will do. Thanks again

    1x10 drivetrain with a 40t or...?

Ok, makes perfect sense. The mid cage might be fine for me. I do see some folks using the M820 with the 11-36 and reporting awesome experiences, but I may want to keep my options open. Really appreciate it. Any thoughts on high-end cabling? I'm afraid, despite having built several bikes, I'm...

    1x10 drivetrain with a 40t or...?

<Sorry, posted before I saw your second post to the Q..I see you basically answered this. I'll check out the XTR too. > Ok. Assuming I wouldn't bump to a 40, it would make sense then...It seems 36t is the upper-limit, but I assume it's not unstable. Would what you suggest for keeping the 40t...

    1x10 drivetrain with a 40t or...?

Great, makes total sense. I will do just that. 30t narrow-wide on my Saint crank and 11-36 in the rear - plenty of play for hills I'd think. Could I use a short cage mech, like the Saint M820? Seems like that's fine for 11-36. Thanks again for help! Much appreciated.

    1x10 drivetrain with a 40t or...?

Thanks! So, 30/36 with what up front in your opinion? And I don't think the Saint can take a 30-32t, correct, even if I were to run a 1x9 with 30-36 in the back, 30/32 in the front?

    1x10 drivetrain with a 40t or...?

Hey folks..Always appreciate the help I've gotten here. Thanks in advance for reading! Seems there's been some innovation since I last shopped for a drivetrain, to say the least.. So, I'm coming from a Transition Bandit. Had a 1x9 on there, 32t up front, 11-34t in the rear. I felt I needed some...

**Shopping for a steel SS road frame

Hi folks. I'm looking to build up a street/road SS bike. My background is lots of road riding, but these days I'm almost exclusively downhill and all-mountain -- i.e., mountain biking. BUT, I really want to get back into some road/street riding. I've built up a lot of DJ bikes and love the...

2009 TransAM -> Can this frame accept a tapered steerer?

My measurement of the upper/lower cups is 44mm, like the 2012. So are there headsets to accommodate a tapered steerer? Anyone know? Thanks

    Straight to Tapered fork adapter?

Hi folks. I have a 2009 TransAm with a straight steerer and I want to use tapered Fox 32 on it. Does such an adapter exist to make this work? If so, is the control/stability compromised -- ie, worth it or should I just get a newer TransAm with a tapered headtube? Thanks!

Oil/grease buildup on stanchion - initial thoughts?

Hey folks..Always love the help I get on here so I'll make it quick. Good season of riding so far and noticing some buildup of oil on my right stanchion. Shock still seems plush, wouldn't have noticed without the obvious slickness-to-touch feeling. Never had to service a shock -- I know...

    Good 150mm fork?

What do you think about the Pike 327? Little heavy it seems, no lockout, but aren't they pretty bullet-proof?

    Good 150mm fork?

Well I'm feeing the Marzocchi love here..Honestly, I never even considered their forks as I've always used Fox..Not that I think there's anything wrong - you just use what you know. I'll have to check them out. The Revelation seems pretty reasonable - this is my backup bike so I'm not trying to...
