From what I've been reading on other forums like pinkbike and vitalbmx, these stories about Stolen are extremely common, particularly when dealing with broken frames/forks. People send their stuff in and it never gets sent back.
Pretty cool. I cracked up when your friend tried the 360 in the beginning because he went down so slow and easy, like he was taking a rest.
Looks like you were doing a good job of getting the no handers.
That's no longer an option. Looks like I'll be getting the Trust since they sold the Giant and won't be importing any more. Or...I could spend less and get the "raspberry" colored WTP Addict. Nah, who wants to ride around on a pink bike?
I'm guilty of that. The only reason I did it was because I could find tons of reviews on We The People, Verde and Fly bikes, but nothing about the Giant, so that's why I started that thread. I just wanted to make sure I didn't get a massive negative response.
Any serious mechanical problems? All of the components seem pretty sturdy but I've never had a chain stay mounted brakeset before and it looks a little tricky to adjust, although with the leverage from the momentum of the wheel, I can imagine it stops better than the seat stay mounted brake.
Yes, I could if I lived in the US or another country without insane protectionist tariffs on imports. If you want to see my options check out this website www.4130.co.kr
As you can see, it's fairly limited and for an idea of the prices I would be paying compared to the US, try converting some...
I was considering getting a WTP Trust, but because I'm just starting out I noticed the bike shop here (yes, there's only one) also has a Giant Method 00. The bike has full cro-mo frame/forks/bars and front and rear double walled rims. As an added bonus, it also has a rail seat since I like to...
The Trust seems to have favorable reviews. I can't decide between it and the 24" Avenue. The store here in Korea won't be getting the 2010 Avenue/Avenger which I was interested in because of the different geometry. So I might go with the Trust instead. You think it's big enough/sturdy enough for...
From the looks of it, the 2010 Avenue/Avenger looks like it has a similar BB height to the Sunday Model C. I too live in a country where it would be impossible to find a Sunday complete to test ride and I would also get killed on the import duties. The bike shop here in Korea has a 2009 WTP...
Looks like I'm going with a WTP Trust. It has components that seem tough enough to last until I have extra savings to replace/upgrade anything and the frame geometry seems great.
Seems like the brakes on that Deluxe XXL would get mucked up being down there. Nice geometry on the frame though. I'm 5'10" and where I live, getting the Sunday Model C frame/forks/bar set isn't an option (import tax would be about 50%-70% of cost and shipping), so I'm also thinking about the...
Skateparks? Crappy and crappier. There are a couple in Seoul and one up in nowhereville miles away. Yeah, I do the teaching thing here.
I live near a sports stadium that has some nice ramps (for wheelchairs) and plenty of rails to grind on. My place is up in the countryside, close to the North...
