Thx...If I recall correctly...my initial settings were no Gate and maybe a click or 2 of compression. Yup...still set at that.
We'll see what Whistler does to it :D
I found the manual. Burping = nothin'
Backed the rebound all the way, just to check...it now seems fine (other than way too bouncy ; ) Turned it all the way in and backed it out 2.5...seems fine.
The rebound adjustment is only 4 turns...so I guess it's super touchy.
Day trip to Whistler tomorrow and I was just going over my bike. I've got the 06 Boxxer Team and it has only 2days of riding on so far.
But just now...standing beside the bike and pushing the fork down...it packs up within 3 strokes.
Do these forks need air-burping? And if so...is it as simple...
Rose is probably a no-go right now. There MIGHT be a couple jumps at the Bike Park dry enough to hit...but I'm not sure at the moment. Contact the Bicycle Cafe for info.
But the Ord hillside is dry.
RM Slayer> RM7/Avy> V10/5th> old GiantDHX/6way> Canadian model Devinci 8flat/4way> VPFree/DHX5.0
And this is the first Boxxer I've been even remotely interested in trying out.
They seem a little too much mainly because of the picture angle...but not too much when looking at the bike as a whole.
Also...the ties are a tad bright when new...after a few rides and they get some dirt and sunlight on them...they'll blend perfectly. (this isn't the first bike I've detailed...
Brand new Aircorp rim and 2.7 Minion tire.
Using compressed air at the gas station....the bead won't seat and seal up.
The rear aired up no problem (same rim, 2 runs on the 2.5 Minion prior to doing this)
I don't really see how putting the sealant in prior to the initial air up will...
But you don't see him rollin' in like that either, do you?
I have a review of the Mongoose in the same mag...lol...but for the life of me, it won't upload to photobucket.
Funny thing though...they'll do the exact same thing everytime.
A wicked rush the first time...but a true one hit wonder by all definitions thereafter.
The factory shock fitment is actually 8.5x2.75...which isn't a common size.
I'm using an 8.75x2.75 though with no problems....there's about an 1/8" that needs to be compressed to fit the shock and of course the swing arm just "stops" against the BB shell....but it a none issue.
I am...
