they're loud. I prefer the gamut 'cause I ride in BC slop a lot, so if/when the roller binds up, the chain just slides instead of skipping over a toothed e13 roller.
I wonder if the dual crown version will have both 302 and 318 versions. the one pictured would be a 302 with only rebound adjustability. I gotta say I've really been enjoying my 2010 boxxer race.
36t ring and 11-32 PG980. Happens to have an HG50 chain on it at the moment. Shifts well enough for me.
The bike came stock with a 12-23, but for a lot of my riding, it's more coasting and then you have to slow for a really tight technical section, on the 11-32 I'm usually in the 4th cog...
If I interpret the post correctly, SC is effed anyway because of the prior art?
meaning that people aren't taking the patent seriously, thanks to said art. It sucks that they went down this road, but I don't see the ramifications, other than some people being annoyed at their shadiness.
oh lordy... someone put the circus freak aka Dangerous Dan on film again? I kinda hoped MTB was done with 20' high skinnies with wheelie drops to uphill stairs landings.
looks sick though.
An old bike of mine came with a pair of Intense Edge (old FRO, so kevlar bead, dual ply, sticky rubber,) and I was thoroughly unimpressed. Only good thing I can say is that they had decent traction on woodwork and wet rock thanks to the rubber compound. I found them to feel really vague pretty...
stem is sweet, just make sure you install it properly. you need to snug the top two bolts down so there is no gap, then torque the two lower bolts down.
I haven't ridden them, but a friend who has said that you basically always need to be "on" them all the time, really aggressive in the turn to cross the gap and get the side knobs to bite in.
pull fork apart, judy butter or red rum on solo air piston seal, oil in air chamber, prep-m (convenient w/ needle injector) or "slick honey" between dust wiper and oil seal, fresh lube oil in the lowers.
it'll be smoooooooooooth.
On the assumption this is derisive sarcasm, I'm sorry that there's like two or three people that don't care that much about having the trendiest bike in the universe.
