That's a great help, thanks man. I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets lost on the myriad trails in P'kill. That place is like a maze. I don't think I have ever taken the exact same route down the hill twice.
How does this place compare to Plattekill? I am deciding between the two this weekend. Plattekill is probably my favorite spot in the Northeast but I like the look of Jiminy's trails from these head-cam videos.
Just stuck in a new set of Saint metal pads (the stock Shimano ones) and there is basically zero room between pads and rotor now. Anyone else experience this? Thanks
Thanks for the comprehensive explanation, that was very helpful. Does anyone think Saint rotors (being narrow) offer less power or would fresh pads solve the problem?
I just swapped out an old Hayes rotor for a new Saint one, and even with proper bedding in there's very little power. Should I replace the pads when switching to a new rotor, since the old pads might have conformed to the shape/depth of the old rotor? I notice now that the Shimano has a...
There are two different categories of responses to the OP in this thread. One group acknowledges the ridiculousness of Diablo's actions in leaving the landing of a drop covered in branches, whereas the other group is jumping on the OP to condemn him for daring to jeopardize Diablo's operation...
None of the things you have mentioned bear any resemblance to the circumstances in question: a bunch of logs, placed there by employees, on the landing area of a jump. Dangerous, avoidable and unacceptable.

I had to carry my bike over a fallen tree on a fully open trail, unless of course it was closed and a bunch of kids had removed the signage on that one too.
Also I can't...
I have been using a set of Dirty Dans with the centre knobs cut down a little, in conditions ranging from outright mud to soft/tacky. I have never experienced grip quite like it. In one particular right hander that I usually have to break really hard into, I just scrubbed a little speed and then...
I am already running the Funn stem, and it's a bit agricultural. I am hoping to put something a bit lighter and less dated-looking on there.
I am running a regular diameter Azonic World Force that I really like, so I want to stick with it for now.
Thanks for all the help, the Twentysix...
Sorry for yet another request for information from you guys, but anyone got recommendations for a nice 888-compatible stem? The Boxxer and Fox 40 users seem to be spoiled for choice but I'm struggling to find more than a couple of Marzocchi-compatible models out there. Thanks
