Hey Guys,
Here is a short video from last summer.

I got the Knolly Chilcotin in 2012 with the intention of doing all-mtn riding but more on the downhill side of things and a few DH races for fun. I looked at the geometry numbers before buying and...
good on maxxis.
Maybe they realised a majority of the world cup pros prefer schwalbe so they needed to update their 10 year old tire...even though they were really good. But you need to innovate or else somebody else will.
It looks like the side knobs have been slightly reinforced for less...
Something to consider:
Length and slackness (including center of mass being rearward, acheivable with a shorter stem) will obviously give you stability in rough/steep.
When you hit a corner at the bottom of the rough/steep, suddenly that stability advantage compromises your ability to execute...
Yeah the only thing is that the NN and FA don't come in the Vertstar compound. So I am wondering how sticky their stickiest compound is for those specific tires.
Hey there,
I am trying to get some feedback on the Nobby Nic or Fat Albert.
What I want is something in between a 1 and 2 ply...like a 1.5 ply (eg specilized "SX" tires) and in the 800-1000 gram range. I would be getting the 2.25 and 2.4 sizes.
I am also looking for the stickiest...
Good read.
I just made a post about a "downhill" all mtn bike. Interesting about the air shock sucking. This is why I am getting a Double Barrel rear shock.
Also the fork travel adjust I think would make a big difference to climbing so your opinion kind of solidifies mine more.
I can...
Hey guys,
I am considering getting a new bike for 2011 to do everything. I have never asked a question on here, but I know there are some guys who know their stuff when it comes to suspension on this board. I have been racing downhill for a few years, and have decided to stop, and now I just...
this isnt new, but some kind of data acquisition might be usefull for geometry setup, suspension setup, weight, flexing, power transfer, g forces, pedal forces, drag, etc
A tear off system that tears a whole tear off, not just a strip, that is somehow activated by your own voice... or something...
a 12 inch bb would kick ass. My dh bike has a 13.1 inch bb with 8.5 inches of travel, so a 4.5 inch travel bike with a 12" bb would slay...although it may not cater to the "general" all mountain crowd and sell that many bikes.
Schwalbe VertStar Muddy Mary 2.35 tires. Other then that I would reccomend a Cane Creek Double Barrel rear shock, Although it is a relatively heavy shock I think. Also this may sound kind of silly, but some Straitline bar end caps give a nice secure feeling to your hands.
But wait, shouldn't we...
Isn't Malcolm contesting the East Coast lites? I heard he was but then haven't heard any mention of it on any websites when they mention all the other rookies.
Anyways freakin sick race. I wish they showed some of Chad Reed moving through the pack up into 5th.
seriously don't do it. There are other places to spend your money and time at. Trips like driving from the east coast of canada to the southwest coast of america may make you view racing bitterly (due to the complete waste of resources trying to get your ass to a ****ty ass race), end up...
World Champs '08 during the afterparty everybody was dancing and moshing. Neethling came up to me and my friends (national team mates) and starting deliberately elbowing and punching us. He thought it was pretty funny. Such a rad dude.
I would highly recommend the Knolly Podium. I have a medium with a Cane Creek double barrel. I know the guy personally (Alan Crisp) who designed and tested the bike. They went over many different geometry configurations throughout the 09 season and I think he got the right one for a pure race...
