    get a job. and no i don't mean work at best buy or home depot. Use your head, theres plenty of hand labor jobs out there where you could easily make up to $10,000 in the summer months. and don't be a dumbass and waste your saving bonds on a bike that will have no resale value in a few years...

    never rode the boxxer race so i can't comment on how it feels. but since both forks are new i would opt for the 888 due to the external adjustments making it less of a hassle. it might be a bit heavier but since you state that your not that smooth than i don't think the weight will effect you...
