Is the 380 27.5 compatible or not? I remember seeing something about this when they first came out but can find any info on it now and some spec sheets I have found for the fork just says wheel size 26".
Cheers for the info that's good to know. I am leaning more to the 380 might have to make my mind up next week! I think I will just be on the end scale of the stock spring. The only way to really know is to try it.
I understand you don't like the Boxxer but they are still an ok fork and with maintenance can be a good fork to have on the front of your bike so don't be so hard on them. Back up from SRAM in the UK is 1000x better that Marzocchi which is also a big consideration.
It's not the time it takes to...
Need a new fork (as i have just sold mine) and looking at the 380 but looking at the info on hear worried that the spring it comes with will be to soft I weigh 190lbs and wondering if the stock spring would work with that weight as if I had to buy a new one would put me off the fork. Also I see...
Still don't know what is the right oil volume to put in these forks(2013). Re built them today with 310ml in the RH leg and 100ml in the LH leg. Gave them a good few bounces after putting them back on the bike with the VA backed off and I could only get about two thirds of then available travel...
Just been having that same problem. I carefully held the brass end of the compression adjuster with some thin nose pliers, then started to tighten it with a open ended spanner until it started to bite then finished tightening it with the socket.
Just pulled my 2013 RC3 EVO V2 apart only used them about 5 times on local trails and they work well and feel plush but a bit notchy at the top of the travel when you push them down by hand, so I was going to pack the void between the oil and dust seal with grease. Just under 300ml (of pond...
I dont think its the Race Face BB that are the problem its more the way the cranks tighten up.
I think it is very hard to tighten up Race Face ranks without putting to much preload onto the bearings. For a start the Frame BB shell needs to be spot on in length which most arent (my heckler...
That is one nice bike!
I always thought the Hammer Schmidt system would be best on a hardtail than all the full sus bikes they are putting them on and to put it onto a single speed has got to be a killer set up!
What rear Cog are you running?
Heres my Heckler, just put some 36s on it but might drop them to 140 as it feels a bit high. This is my DH/do anything bike now. I havent had a big bike for a few years now and I dont think I ever will go back to one. dont get me wrong DH bikes are good but I can do so much more on this...
Cheers for that, if the man says it will work sweet then thats all I need to know. I will get one on order, its should lighten the old device up a bit.:thumb:
Because its only a Bashring and I can not see why it wouldnt work. It was only go rides site that said that it wasnt compatible. I couldnt find anywhere else that said that it was or wasnt. I just want to see if any one knows or not, So I will take it by your reply that you dont know
Just a quick question will the new Turbocharger bashring work with a DRS? I thought it would have but I was just looking on go rides web site and it says Not compatible with pre-09 E-13 chain guides
Cheers
Looking to build a new wheel set up for a DH/hack about hardtail bike and I was thinking about using Sun rims as Mavic have shot up in price. In the past I have sworn by 721 rims but no I am looking for an alternative. I have been looking at the Equalizer, MTX and Single Track rims and just...
Cheers, I am running a 17/15 by 32 gearing at them moment (the old Singulator works well as a manual gear changer).
I have already started to do it up, put some Fox F120 RLC forks on it yesterday and I have ordered a Surly 33T chain ring and a new decal kit for it which should be here tomorrow...
Cheers, I was thinking about getting a Single speed specific frame as I am using it a lot. But then I thought that would be defeating the object of a cheap bike to ride about in the muck. So I think I might just do it up a bit.
Here's mine, old Surly instigator frame and forks with the usual bits knocking around to build it up.
I cant stand this bike because I have got a nice Cove Handjob and a Heckler but I never use them. I even put this bike up in the attic so I would use my other bikes but I always end up riding...
I am after some help on some 3 piece cranks. I am looking at trying to fit a set of BMX cranks to my bike. The only problem is that it’s a 73mm shell frame.
I am thinking that I could put an extra 5mm spacer in the centre spacer but will I have enough free length of axle to space the arms...
