So how many of you will be on 27.5(650b) for 2015??

No on my AM bike and No on my DH bike. They both work great. I have no issues with 26. The financial loss to switch is ridiculous. I rather spend my money on real performance gains.

Are there any good 26" trail bikes left?

the Uprising is a blast - in the low setting - it has a slack head angle and a low bottom bracket. its not uber long, but it is fun and playful.

Running a 150 mm rear wheel on a 157 mm spaced frame. Possible?

Use the spare shock hardware spacers - they are 12mm and spacers are approximately 3.5mm. I did this is in the past and it worked until I got a new hub axle.

    Leatt/other neck brace fit questions

I have been using a Leatt GPX for a few years. I have the D3 helmet. I spent the money to the get the right combo. I also have the TLD chest protector. I stuck with the Leatt though I always wanted something a tad better. It didn't limit me too much, but it is restrictive. I would often get this...

    Evil Undead

Thanks….but sorry for being dense, but I am not quite getting what you mean. I tried looking for pictures online, but couldn't see anything to enlighten me. Based on the sicklines article http://www.sicklines.com/reviews/2013-evil-undead-carbon-fiber-mountain-bike-review/ It is a 44mm top...

    Evil Undead

I am curious if anyone has just replaced the headset without the angle option? I am guessing the angle would be the halfway point between the steep/slack - maybe a tad steeper owing a shorter lower stack for most zerostack headsets.

The Web Monkey Speaks: The Rising Price of "Kick Ass"

Hi Vernon Great article - but one missing aspect - is this a vicious cycle? By that I mean, the price is so high now that it is hard to get new riders into the sport. Therefore, there are less potential buyers, and since the number of buyers decreased, the supply/demand requires an increase...

    Post your 2014 rides!

Well, it started as an Uprising and that rode so well I had to get the big sister! Zero complaints - loving both bikes!

    Evil Undead

I used a Cane Creek bushing tool that pushes the hardware in and out. It is basically a bolt and nut with two little cylinders and one larger cylinder that the two little cylinders can fit into. I did have to use a large socket as well. I will take some pictures, but you can just get this at...

    Marzocchi 380 C2R2 Ti & Moto C2R Shock

Lifer - thanks for the information. This is very beneficial. I had a Fox 40 Coil. However I fell into between spring sizes and just never really meshed with it. I switched to Marz 888, but the stock spring was too soft and the dampening was a bit off. I got a works tune by Ronnie which...

    Evil Undead

Follow-up. I changed my bearings on the Uprising this weekend, which are the same size as the Undead. I used my shock bushing tool to pop out and install the bearings. The tool is small so I could do this with everything on the frame.

    Evil Undead

I have learned over the years particularly with bearings, there is the right too for the job. Owing to the links being so small, you will most likely need a vice or a large clamp. You need to find the correct diameter socket and another one that is large, and close the vice around these two...

    Marzocchi 380 C2R2 Ti & Moto C2R Shock

I would love to try one out. The independent controls for high, low, compression, and rebound are a positive, assuming the standard is not built around 150# person. However, they are expensive and with the uncertainty of their operation and this being a new product. It is hard justify the cost.

2 moar weeks: Evil Uprising non-vapor ware

PRELUDE Over the last few years, I have been looking for an aggressive trail/AM bike to complement my Knolly Delirium. My Delirium has been my go to bike, it works well in so many riding environments. The Delirium has made me a better rider. I have built it for heavy duty for the parks/jumping...

2 moar weeks: Evil Uprising non-vapor ware

I don't own an Undead, but I stared at a lot of pictures before getting my Uprising. They look very similar - just reduced in size and application. I have the Fox Float X, I doubt many bigger shocks will fit in there, but I don't this bike needs it.

2 moar weeks: Evil Uprising non-vapor ware

Sweet set-up. I think I saw your build on vitalmtb. Yeah man, it is a fun bike. I have only had a few rides on it so far, which have been a blast. The way it eat ups of the roots etc is downright scary at times. I have mine setup with a Fox 36 Float 160mm. I notice you have the same fork. I...
