Just came home from a race in Lenzerheide (Trek Bike Attack, endurance dh like Megavalanche) and what I saw from the track was nice but looked to much like a flow trail. There is a nice rockgarden but too many big berms for my taste. But like I said I just saw it from the lift and I try to ride...
You have to start in the last five seconds where it beeps and the time is counting as soon as you go through the gate. That's how the guy from the UCI explained it to me last time I was racing.
Hey guys I need some help!
I'm fast on technical, loose and steep trails but as soon as there are jumps or drops I'm riding like a total beginner. I know it's mostly a mental thing but I would like to make my bike more predictable on jumps, I usually have problems with nose diving over...
I don't know why but Morgins is one of the few places that's great in every condition. The trails there are one of my favorites I've ever ridden (and I still think this after I've been in whistler!).
Since I destroyed my helmet and leatt brace gpx in crash a month ago I needed some new gear.
I bought a Fox V4 and the new Leatt DBX 5.5. I'm really pleased with this combo, it fits really nice.
Until september everything should be open in portes du soleil. But if your going to stuttgart drive through todtnau and ride there. Expensive but I love the trail!
It's a german brand and I guess most of their customers are from germany/switzerland/austria. So that much travel makes sense and there is a lot more competion from well known brands that make bikes around 140mm travel.
I would fly to geneva (I don't know if all airlines fly to geneva, if not fly to zürich) and stay in chatel, at least for the beginning. From chatel you can ride in Portes du Soleil just with your bike (check how long the lifts are running or you're stuck on the other side of the mountain ;) )...
My favorite places to ride:
- Portes du soleil (12 villages connected via lift in switzerland/france)
my favorites there are Chatel, Morgins and Champery (the legendary DH track...steeep  ) but these are mostly technical trails, the flow trails are in Morzine and Les Gets. I'm renting...
