Right on. Now that I think about it, maybe the one in Waterford is Miller Pond (sans 's'). Any of you guys ride that one? I haven't ridden it probably in at least 15 years--have no idea if there are even MTB trails there anymore...
Oh hell ya. I have access to a place in Sunrise, so I'm hoping to get up a few times this year. Would love to help move some dirt, too. I love tech, but buff smooveness is always appreciated!!
You guys rock.
BTW, FR, get out of the furniture capital of the world or wherever...
I've semi-met you a few times Splat, and keep saying to myself that I need to hook up with some of you dudes. I work five minutes from Nam. Maybe this year...
The few times I've dealt with Auntesther, he's been a real prick. I mean just a real jerk. In fact, they all seem to be. Don't bother signing up.
Ended up going with the Saint 805. Seems to work well. Im not sure if the chainline is optimal, but I probably just need to tweak.
Do you have a Free and are choosing a crank?
I agree, too. I just logged back on for the first time in MONTHS because I cant stand the new classifieds. I guess "shame on me" for using this site 80% of the time for merely browsing the classifieds, and not contributing a whole heck of a lot to the forums (although I used to ask plenty of...
I bent a Saint brake lever and plan on bending it back, but want to buy a replacement as a backup. What online shops sell small parts like that, and what is a reasonable price?
Eh, thats funny--Im doing exactly that right now. No plastic sleeve and a headset spacer outboard of the cup. Cool, so Im not as much of an idgit as I thunk I were--either that or there are peepul out there as stoopid as me is.
Anyone know anything about an "adapter kit" made by RaceFace to convert an 83mm x-type bb to a 73mm? I get the feeling that the "kit" only contains a shorter plastic sleeve that protects the spindle and a few extra spacers. I was told twice by the Santa Cruz tech to get it for my VP Free to...
I dont know why no one is responding to the feedback or good sellers thread questions... I found the feedback by going to the classifieds section and then clicking on the sellers name. It doesnt appear that the feedback page is available anywhere other than in the classified forum area. (?)...
Sorry if Im just blind, but did the "good sellers thread" get moved over to the new board? Didnt see it first time through...
<edit> I think I found it... under feedback... So is it cool to post feedback to people that we have dealt with in the past?
Resurrection of this thread... Five has been giving me some advice on mounting Saint cranks--has anyone else used Saint cranks on their Free? He is using M800s, which I thought had too short of a spindle. :monkey:

<edit> Five...
Right on. I never got the shell faced--I should probably do that. :o:
Definitely. I had a Boxxer on mine, too for awhile, and then went to a 66RC. Made the bike even more fun--less bulky, more turning radius... But yeah, fun bike for sure.
Werrrrd, thanks Kevster. No problems facing that lip? I have the older frame, too. Does the external cup sit flush on the frame once you get rid of that material?
Im doing the same thing with an ISIS bb--using the chain guide backing plate as the spacer...
Nice rig, man.
