Also, we should probably be more specific here. The only thing NORBA is really doing to bug most people is raise the cost of an annual license, oh and I guess not paying out DH or 4X racers for two years until Fox bailed them out this year. The Big Bear guys should be the ones who are getting...
Troy Lee Designs is going to have some women's specific gear for next year, but I think they're only doing MX pants. You could probably get them tailored into shorts if you wanted to. I think Fox and Thor might do some women's gear as well. As for armor . . . not sure what to suggest there.
The MRP and Blackspire guides are much better now than the first incarnations were a few years ago (mostly since they now have stepped rollers that actually prevent your chain from dropping), but the E-13 is still the best two-ring system out there.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if NORBA is trying to kill DH racing, won't boycotting the national series be the nail in the coffin?
I know it's expensive to go to races, but it's a lot of fun. Look at it like you're going to a SX race in another state and you're going to be there for the...
Sometimes I wish I wasn't representing a company and therefore can't say what I want to.
Wik: zero stars for hating on other cyclists instead of the Sierra Club.
Then Mike shoudl get Tony under control. Bubba and RC both had win at all costs mentallity, but I don't recall Ricky standing on Jeremy's bike in any motos.
That's not really the point, now they can raise the price of the bike $14 or drop it $14 or do whatever they want and don't have to write a check to another bike company. I'm not saying I have some sort of inside knowledge as to what exactly happened, but if I owned a boutique frame company, I...
I would probably buy Marzocchi brand seals from a Marzocchi dealer. There is no real standard for seals (oil or dust), so it's best to go with OEM product.
Let's say Turner sells 1,200 frames per year excluding the DHR, that's almsot $17,000 in royalties that go off to the big ugly S. That's half of somebody's salary. $14 per frame doesn't sound like that much until you start adding it up.
I'm excited to hear what Scott and Kris say when they get back from IB. For those saying things like "now they're up against Trek in the market place!" . . . remember how they were licensing from Specialized last week? The market is always full of bigger fish. Unless you're Giant.
RC has been running that extra visor thing at various races for a long time, Bubba does too. The visors that come on the Fox helmets are not as long as the riders would like I guess so they add that little extra bit to deflect roost (they only wear them on looser or rocky tracks). I think they...
Alessi = Rhyno part II, perhaps: super fast with a wicked temper and questionable ethics on the track when things get hot. Fitting and ironic that mister "Believe the Hype" should pull that stunt at Hughes' last race.
