I'm interested in getting back into some form of jumping for sure... all I have is a big (ish) bike though.
What day were you thinking to go? I could definitely dig for a couple of hours (though I have little experience at it) and then jump for a bit as well.
This is really not true. Avid mech disk breaks can be setup to have as much or more power than a maggie+goodpads+grind. A beginer is much more likely to be able to setup an avid decently than grind their rim.
That ES4r is a fun bike. I had one back in the day (2 years ago I think). I...
Good stuff! Gas works is all kinds of fun! I've spent hours on just those same stairs and platform things.
Check out observedtrials.net (if you haven't already) for group rides and the like.

(nice bike, BTW)
actually, it spontaneously cranks in 8 places if you take the flouro rims off.
I think its pretty damned ugly, (as are the rest of koxx's new *bright* line up), but Vincent can make any bike look good.
cant complain about dual disk, either.
Interested in trials, huh? should come out and ride with the seattle trials crew some time. We have a reasonably sized group ride pretty much every weekend. We are also gonna have a demo at the bike swap on the 18th and 19th - should come by and say hi.

I got a little footage of Joe. I really liked his style, but apparantly the judges didn't . One line in particular stuck out to me: manny up the quarter to fakie nose manny out. SICK. He was back flipping the spine with ease, while it took porter something like 10 tries to finally get it...

That was rediculus. The 540 over the rail. The nose pick stall on top of the screen. The 720 hip. That huge air to manual. I also like the creative stuff - cross over flair. Cross over foot plants. Two footed foot plants (I think thats what you would call...
SUNDAY 3:30 at McCarver and 30th in Old Town Tacoma.
Hittin up the Tacoma waterfront tomorrow to break out our trials and urban skills. All are welcome, whatever skill level, should be a good sized group ride.
Come see a little of this:
Some of this:
And a bunch of this...
when you preload for the hop, make sure you sink back and down, then explode forward and up. Practice practice practice. Watch a pro doing one in slow motion, and if you can, video tape yourself and judge the differences.
Sick ride. Looks like a fun bike. I have pretty much the same tensioner in back but with an MRP roller instead.
By no means does he "need" magura brakes. On canti mounts, I'd go for a nicer set of vee's (avid sd7s or Ultimates if you have the money) and a booster. Maguras on canti's (with...
Imagine all the sick urban stunts you could pull with that 'core suspended kickstand.
"alright guys this time I'm gonna really hold down the gnar. 180 to kicktand stall out of the quarter"
Talk about evolution of the sport. This is where urban road biking is headed.
Alright, so he's probably a pretty high profile suspect right? thats why they have been monitoring him. In my opinion, the police f-ed up by giving him even an inch with which to escape (I'm assuming they confronted him and he took off). They gotta assume he's gonna run and take precautions...
I guess what bothers me most about it is the "got what he deserved" comments. Who knows whether he really was guilty from yesterday? Aparantly the british police knew, but does that make it okay to kill him without an investigation? In this case, I think they did the right thing by killing...
Not that it really means much if he really was the guy from yesterday, but an interesting thing to consider. The london police *did* shoot an unarmed man five times in the head. To me this seems a lot like incidents in the past around here where police emptyed something like 45 bullets into a...
The Jaffro is on ridemonkey too? Beastly. When do you come back to the Co.? In time for the 8/21 gunnison comp?
I tapped 43" to both wheels yesterday and hooked 45". god my wrists hurt typing this.
