    ceramic bearings

Same conditions except the bearings. This was during his tri-geek days and everyone knows how they fuss about everything. Once he wore that set out he never replaced them because it was so cost prohibited.

    ceramic bearings

A former co-worker of mine got a hold of a set of ceramic bearings for his road bike wheels. I know he tested them using standard bearings just rolling down a hill and seeing his top speed. Then he switched to the ceramic bearings and he had a very significant speed increase. This was a few...

Anyone know anything about TV antennas?

My Grandma had the same dial, I could not tell you how it worked. I can say that Fraggle Rock was the best! I wonder if it would still be as good watching it now?

    Another seatpost dies:

Go for the Thomson, I have one with a dent in it(from a crash) and it still has not bent.

    Mycyclinglog.com

I am definately going to do this again this year, after I move and get settled in. For me logging hours will be much more accurate for me too. Does the time hiking the DH bike uphill count?

    Share the Road license plate

I just came across this on another forum. This is a plate I would not mind having. Here is the link to sign the petition. http://bicyclecolo.org/page.cfm?PageID=764

    Oneal helmets

I have a Oneal 904 that is three seasons old now. I switched from the full Bravo Carbon and the Oneal fit better in every way. I do not think you will be disappointed.

I think I might start looking at some of the Jeep trails, some of them can offer some nice sections. Plus once I get my Jeep I can go four wheeling and downhilling at the same time:biggrin: There is a nice trail by my parents, one of the few places out here I have found a trail covered in roots...

I do use the cross bike as my xc bike right now. And it looks like I will be commuting to work on my cross bike also.

    So long Glenwood

Well, I am leaving the mountains and heading to the Front Range. I got a job in Louisville and I am hoping to be moving before the end of the month.:happydance: I can’t wait to enjoy the cheaper cost of living; gas is still $2.59 here. I just hope to find some decent DH trails to ride after...

Random product popped in my head: Shimano Airlines

Plus you had to watch out for your friends shifting your bike when you are not looking and wasting the air. I loved doing that to one of the mechanics I worked with when he was trying to tune his bike. He would walk away and come back and had to refill the canister to continue tuning his bike.

Post your most beat up part!

It would have to be my rear wheel. 7 dents, three flats spots, and one busted spoke currently held to another spoke by electrical tape so it does not flop around. The wheel is still fairly straight and has been in this condition since the national at Snowmass. All this while I have a brand...

    Residential speeders

I typically drive about 5 over the speed limit. I have no problems driving slowly through 25mph sections of road but for gods sake when the speed limit increases you need to do the same. There are several roads around me that go through small towns and the speed limit drops but once you...

    He cares more than you....

That reminds me of the commercial for I think Honda hybrids. It showed a VW bus like that covered in stickers then showed the hybrid. The commercial went something like this "Some people use their car to say they care about the environment, others cars say they care about the environment."

    Friggin seed bugs

Gasoline always worked well for yellow jackets and their nests in the ground. Pour some in the hole wait a minute then through a match and watch the suckers burn.
