Indeed it is. I put my old Avalanche on it. The Avy is shorter in eye2eye and in stroke than the standard 5'th. So my bike now has 5.4" travel. I put a 5" Firefly on the nose to match it. It feels awesome. It's somewhere inbetween an SX Trail and an SX.
Oh ya, we had to machine some new...
I'm gonna get an different shock for my SX Trail. The 5'th really annoys me.
Am I right in saying that the shock size is 8.5x2.5? I just want to be sure.
Stickers; It's made from sticky vinyl. I think 3M makes it. First put a clear layer on. Then draw with a black pen to outline the lighting bolts. Then take it off, stick it on top of some yellow vinyl. Cut it with a scalpel. Then take the yellow, stick it on top of some white vinyl. Cut about...
Yeah, mine weighs 37.5 pounds.
About the shock. I don't really want more travel... I have been thinking of putting my old Avalanche on it though; getting it resized. But I found out that Specialized had made this brilliant solution, where they mount the shock and pivot on the same axle. And...
I've mounted a 2003 Evil SRS backplate to an SX Trail frame... I had to drill three new holes, for it fo fit the ISCG mounts. The hole things is like 45 degrees turned for some reason.
My SX Trail is 15 kilo's / 33 pounds... still WITHOUT cranks/BB,pedals and chain.
That's with a Slider fork and not with overly stupid light parts. Setup as a nimble DH bike.
Should have it finished tuesday/wednesday.
Hm, sounds interesting... I had read that the 2002 models had the negative spring in the cartridge, but wasn't sure about the 2003.
So taking a 1" negative spring and putting it below the cartridge... Does the Super-T cartridges have that little sleeve that the negative spring sits under on...
Hey!
Has anyone tried to lower a 2003 Super-T to 6" (150mm)?
Principially, it's just a matter of getting some different positive and negative springs.
Any suggestions are appreciated...
It's where you combine a bunnyhop with a pedal stroke. 3/4 means that you "kick" the pedal three quarters around. (270 degrees). That kinda kick's you up on the rearwheel and forward, from full or part still-stand. The pedal kick get's you forward and the J-hop get's you up. (J-hop is like a...
