well thats true. but i think that kinda supports my point. she is slow/light enough that wheel/tire strength is sufficient.
if turning with 29" would be a problem of wheel size and the relative size compared to the rider, she certainly would not use them.
Yeah and Tracy Moseley rides 29" because shes a giant.
Imo the problem with current 29" is the weight. A strong 29" tire + wheel weighs a fuckton compared to an equally strong smaller wheel. that just about cancels any advantage it has in rolling and grip, especially on shorter tracks.

maybe its time to crowdfund a movie? i think even the earthed files on my HD are starting to wear out considering how often one has to watch it after every crappy documentary-epic-slowmo crap thats coming out.
looking at this pic again, the location of the axle seems to be nearly on a plane with the pivot, but the other, longer option seems to be higher ? maybe not only for different wheel size testing, but also a test from "whatever rocky calls their 4bar" to a more normal horst link style position.
Well its kinda hard to tell, but since all rockys circumvent the horst link patent with a pivot above the rear axle, i more or less assumed this would be the case too. i still think its the case here, hard to tell with those pics though
Is that so hard to understand ? Brandon looks fast, because in training he IS fast and faster than most other guys. He adapts to difficult sections/tracks fast, because is damn good on a dh bike. Hes creative in line choices and makes hard stuff look easy without much effort. Come race day when...
Having watched AC and TMO at a few Megas, i think AC could still smoke most of them. Just seeing how AC rides the Glacier ist just way faster and more composed than any other girl dares. In fact shes still so fast she comes relaxed into the finish areas, because shes not threatened at all during...
The bike does move a ****ton more under you. the better a rider the more you move the bike around while your upper body is calm. cornering, coasting over rocks, flicking around rocks etc etc all examples where weight distribution of the bike plays a role.
looking at rider + bike as one is...
Minaar surely did give 100%. what he meant i think was hes not willing to risk his health on a track like that. meaning if you push it past 100% and lose that gamble you will get hurt, probably badly.
i somehow think Hill is right now thinking somewhat along those lines given his injuries in...
the important split is the first one. sam hill not being up there in the peddaling part isnt all that surprising.
if you just compare the first split before the crappy part of the track you get quite a different picture and probably a better indicator for the tracks to come.
