    2014 Jedi Reviewed. Awesome!

Awesome review, I have a 13 Jedi, and I'm super happy with mine. Probably wait a couple of years before upgrading as the bike far exceeds my current capabilities. Good to see some refinements on the 14's though! Do you think the 155 cranks would offer much clearance over 170's? I run...

Suspension Nerds! I'm curious to understand super stiff WC suspension

I have experimented with both. Live in Alaska, and our resort here just don't have the flow or raw speed that a serious venue has, lots of roots, rocks, and smaller features, you spend most of your time on the ground. Tried running the bike stiffer, but just not as good vs a tad softer...

Loosing Weight Quick and Gaining Muscle

Its simple. Lift, and Eat REAL Food, not processed BS. meat, veggies, fruits, nuts......for dear god, just dont starve yourself. Nothing good comes from being calorie deficient except being miserable, and loosing muscle mass. Not a fan of diets, they dont work. Lifestyle changes are...

Anyone gonna be up in Whistler this weekend?

Get well soon man! I feel your pain, I'm still recovering from a fibula break on Lower Duffman from my August trip down there. I broke my femur before in the back country of Alaska in 2009 had to get myself out. With that being said thank goodness for good qualified medical professionals...

Just spent nearly week at Whistler in the park on my Sunday, 6 days straight on the bike with no parts issues besides a lil play in my link, its an 06, so I will be upgrading here soon. Just before I left I had the DHX 5 shock sent to Avalanche and modded/tuned, ran it out of the box with...

    Muscle Recovery and Endurance Suplement

Just got back from 6 days of consecutive riding @ Whis. I only ride downhill on the weekends when I'm at home. I do however do alot of Crossfit with a strength cycle on the side, in addition to 2-3 days of all mountain riding when back home. 6 days in the park for me wasnt bad at all...

    Protective Shorts, anyone wearing?

I wear the Fox Titan short. I took a digger last year with a baseball size rock directly to the hipbone at Whistler on B-Line haha. It was enough to knock my back out of alignment and needed some chiropractor when I got back after riding that week, not to mention my hip was seriously swollen...

Got a chance to put in some time on my Avy Tuned DHX 5 today. All I can say is wow. Bike is totally different in the bumps, and low speed has improved drastically. Craig hit the needle on the head.

Thanks Again, I have a 350 spring here at the house also. Your starting to make me wish I didnt get the Avy tune  which added the SSD and turned propedal into a low speed adjustment, something it lacked before. I may give the RC4 another shot with the small spring and the...

Thanks Odi, I missed your post on the RC4 setup. Only reason I gave that 450 a shot was just to try it out. I ran a 400 last year with great success, and can only recall bottoming the bike out maybe once or twice with the DHX 5 on the bike, and that was overshooting the wood bridge drop on...

Upper shock bolt I suggest going to a fastener store or ACE Hardware and getting a Grade 8 hexhead bolt, washer it up on each side, and use a Nylon insert nut on the other side. 8mm diameter.......Make sure the unthreaded portion of the bolt is enough to cover the bushing width, otherwise if...

    Post your 2012 Rides!

Thanks for the heads up either way! :thumb: Have you heard of anyone mounting the shock upside down with the chamber facing forward and up? I know it was designed to be towards the bottom....not seeing why you couldnt run it like that.

    Post your 2012 Rides!

Yep, read the DW Tech/IH thread pretty extensively before making the decision. Dave ran a bike @ Whis for a year with an RC4 with no issues with the "chopped" link. Here is my modded link. I did mine with an airsaw installed in the bike, and cleaned the edges up with a dremel. Shock...

    Whistler Tyre choice?

I like the Butcher's....ran them here in Alaska all year in very rocky/shale conditions. I rode at Whistler also and had no issues. Will probably keep buying them.
