    Any of 384? Thanks!

Anyone try or seen Crank Bros. Directset yet (opinions)?

I should have explained a little better. The tool is really just a ring that mounts on the upper cup, but it definitely does help keep it straight. I installed the cups one at a time, went slow and they ended up going in alright with a park press.

Anyone try or seen Crank Bros. Directset yet (opinions)?

I'm running the Opium SL on my Morewood Izimu and its worked out great so far. You have to be careful installing it, it comes with a special tool for the upper cup. I don't have a lot of time on it yet obviously but so far so good.

    Mavic EX823 ERD = 534mm

Seb- I used 256's on my pro2 12x150 / ex823(new) rear and the wheel came out perfect.

    Mavic EX823 ERD = 534mm

Hey I've always used 534.5 on the old style ex823, D3.1 and xm819 and 530.5 on the new style ex823 (these numbers come from spocalc). This has worked great for all my builds. I have both old and new ex823s and I'll double check, but I could swear the ID on the newer rims is smaller than the old...

    What I am Doing wrong?

If those are the timberwolf dh (the only model wtb has on their site) its the tires. WTB quotes them at 1685 grams each. Maxxis Minion 2.5's are about 1250 grams each. Swap the tires and thats close to 2 lbs lost. Other than that I don't see anything too heavy. If you like the way it rides...

    Tubeless single-ply tires for DH

I've tried it and it doesn't work. Sidewall tore on the first ride. Tire was destroyed with less than an 30 minutes of ride time. Complete waste of time and money. 2-ply has been flawless.

    Bearing removal Specialized Stout Hub

If you don't have access to any of the hub specific tools, this will work. This method worked for me on all the hubs I've tried. Take a 20mm axle (I use a marz. one, something like a boxxer maxle won't work) and insert it just a little ways into the end cap (not into the bearing). Push down on...

    HELP boxxers dont work

My friend had this happen to his 03' boxxer race once. I rebuilt it and it turns out the bottom out bumper had been forced through the orifice at the bottom of the damper, causing the fork to lock up completely. I don't think this would be possible on the team or wc because the hole is too...

Thinking about a new front fork.....???

My 888 has been great to me. Change the oil now and then and it will ride great. The thing you have to watch out for on older ones is cracks forming around the pinch bolts in the feet. If you're interested I'll be selling my 200mm 888rc with risse crowns/funn stem as soon as I install the new...

    Azonic Outlaw Hub

Mine seized up once, but I opened it up, pressed out the old bearings and pressed in some new enduros and it works like new. For those of you with play, my guess is that you crushed one of the spacers inside by overtightening it. Open it up and take a look at the little cylindrical spacers. If...

I just got shafted by Marzocchi...

This is a bit off topic, but does anyone know what marzocchi charges for new lowers for a 888?

Needle Bearing Source for Turner DHR

The part # of the needle bearings for the linkage on the DHR is B-812-OH. I thought other DHR owners might be interested in this since its hard to find the bearings that have the oil hole for the zerk fittings. You can buy them online here for about $5...

    Michelin bead failure

The same thing happened to me at Mount Snow this year. I was running comp 32's front and rear and the rear one blew off the rim (ex729) during a run. When I went to put it back on, the bead was obviously stretched out so much there was no way it would go back on. One of the guys I was there with...

    **Gravity East Series Schedule**

There are definately 9 races, but I think you are right about it being best of 5. I was hoping it was going to be out of 6 after they clarified that the first wisp race was actually part of the series, but no such luck. 1.Reading 2.Massanutten 3.Diablo 4.Plattekill 5.Wisp #1 6.Whiteface...
