I twisted my Boxxer lowers and did in a front wheel last year while using a birect mount stem, it was in a high speed crash at Fort William, I came off a jump all wrong and landed with all my weight on the bars, the wheel was turned to the right and I landed on the right had side of the bars...
Yeh, and if every one agreed to use rigid bikes then there would be no advantage there. Why not get them all to close their eyes too, then blind people can compete on a level playing field. If something is faster then people are going to use it because they have a better chance of...
The honed tube is actually different. A boxxer team uses the same stantions (the non honed ones) on both sides, the WC one normal and one honed.
It may well be possible to use the air spring with a non honed stantion though. I have never tried
Ive just read that thread on getting another race category. I didn't realise you guys over in the USA have two courses at a national race! How many categories do you guys have?
For comparison we have (In the UK)
Juvenile 12 & 13
Youth 14 & 15
Junior - 16 & 17
Senior 18 - 29
Masters 30 -...
I'v done a Dura ace in this year and the 105 that replaced it is looking a bit worse for wear. I'v also done 2 mech hangers. the 105 is being replaced with a shadow for this weekend and it will become my spare. I have used both SRAM and shimano and work as a bike mechanic so set the stuff up all...
I had an '03 dorado and it had awesome damping, but it was also heavier than a boxxer didn't have enough travel and was to flexable. I had no problem with reliability though. If you want a high preformance part you have to expect to maintain it. I had it a year and all I ever did was undo the...
The inner screw is the bleed port, loosening this will not let you rotate the hose, its the 8mm one you need to undo. However you will have to be very carefull as you will in effect be opening the system. If you undo it just enough to let it move you should be ok though
Mine is 32lbs, not that light really. I could easily bring it down in weight but it will be cheaper to sell it and get someting new which is there already. What I should have really said is I want something a bit lighter, not I need something a bit lighter. I'm going to be getting the Gary...
I'v had a mkIII for almost a year now, it is a great bike for the type of riding you have outlined (I have a 17" and am 5'11'') I am however selling mine ('06 comp, almost stock VGC £900 if your intreseted, its probably too low a spec for you) due to the fact that it is a bit small and heavy for...
You'll be lucky to get anything if you havn't got it ordered already. Sundays are sold out appart from 16'' frames, V10's are sold out, Giant glory are sold out (I think, they may have some smalls) and Intense avaliability is not very good. I'd find out what you can get before deciding.
They can have a vegi burger
I thought they still made them in high medium and low rise. I bought some low rise easton's about a month ago and they can straight from the UK distributor
