    Numb Hands

I have several MTB's and they each have a different riding position. I notice numb hands more on one than the other. I do believe that the riding position will have an affect on your numbness. On the bike where I am stretched out a bit more, there seems to be less numbing than the one that is a...

    3d printers

I used a 3D printer to 'print' a prototype custom disc brake mount that I designed. It was good to make sure that the design would work as designed, but would not even be close to working on a bike in the real world. I did mount it to the bike to verify that the design worked. I needed a few...

Real verified fox float fluid alternates?

I have been using RockShox (SRAM) Redrum for about a year with good results. I use it in the air chamber of forks as well as the air chambers of rear shocks. Works as good as FFF.

Did a spoke break? If it did, your wheel will not be true and the tire may rub.

    Repairing a bent crank

I second the idea that a pedal axle may be bent and not the crank. If the crank is truly bent, replace it. You do not want it to fail.

    Headset/fork wobbles...

I have had the same problem (wobbling) and it turned out to be a spacer that was a little too short and would not allow the stem washer to seat fully without hitting the fork steerer tube. Changed it out for a slightly longer one and the problem was solved.

    are cranks/chainrings gear/speed specific?

Yep, I am running my 9 speed crank (22-34) with my new 10 speed shifters/chain/cassette (11-34) and XT+ GS rear derailleur. Works awesome. I have had no issues with the 9 speed front chinrings with a 10 speed chain.

2008 DJ 1 fork rebuild questions

Think of it this way. The fork does not work now, so if you modify it and it still does not work, you are in the same boat, but if it does work, you just gave it new life for relatively little effort. If it does not work, then you still have to get a new fork. You can call some fork rebuilders...
