Can you add the Ut State Series? Not a lot of national guys show up, but we get over 100 DH riders to most of them.

Bountiful, Utah
2. *June 21-21: Wolf Mountain Mayhem...
The Bountiful tracks are pretty fun with a good mix of single track, tech, wide open double track. There are 5-6 main trails and a lot of options. There is a trail called Parrish Creek that is about 40 minutes long with 5500-6000 elevation drop. This is where most of the local racers...
Pommerelle is 90 minutes from SLC. White Pine is 3-4 hours, so they're both really close. They're both pretty much unknown outside this area, but about as fun as anywhere in the country. The Brian Head race is on the new course, and one of the best places to just go and ride/hang out that I've...

The newer ones have a steel sleeve there to avoid that. I think you can get it retrofitted in, you could call Ventana and ask. They've been really good about reconditioning frames/repainting etc for fairly cheap.
I'm selling my 07 Cuervo and I do get to pick between the two. I'm getting another Ventana. why? 1-I like everything about the bike and see no reason to change (I know how to set it up). 2-Ventana is one of the few places that does everything (CNC, Welding, Heat treat, paint) in house, so I...
That's similar to my build up. Mine is 40lbs 6oz with an 888 SLATA, a Ti spring on the DHX5.0, and a Ti roadie saddle. It's for sale for $2750 if you know anyone looking.
The 07-08 frames are a bit heavier than the 05-06 ones due to thicker tubing in the swingarm, so it's rare to see one...
I've ridden both and have an El Cuervo. They are very similar. The geometry is almost identical. The Cuervo is a good bit more progressive through the suspension due to the way the links are set up . The DHR's center of gravity is a bit lower. In reality, you'd be happy with either one...
Good to see local SLC girl Airelle Martin doing well. She's raced a few MTB nationals, and won most of them. Check out the size of the start hill/jumps:
That would be a much better system. Also, make it much more difficult to get to "expert" status. NORBA sort of did that this year, but since no one is racing, it doesn't matter much.
I know our local promoter along with some promoters from So Cal, Vegas area, and Colorado have been kicking around the logistics of a"Western States Series" this summer. It would be non-norba and likely have stops in So Cal, Central Cal (mammoth), Bootleg, Utah (wolf mtn or Brian Head), Tahoe...
which size Cuervo do you have? what shock?
I had a freind that had an Azonic. He called them to tell them of the problem, and was at first told that he needed a stiffer spring. When he didn't buy that, they told him to return it so they could put a bumper on the shock and limit the travel...
