I'm in Edmonton. Like you alluded to, yours probably just didn't make the ferry on Friday if was part of the same shipment mine was.

2013 santa cruz v10 carbon delivery updates?

I haven't figured out what pressure will work (if any) for the tubeless/single-ply combo. You are right though, 30 psi is too low for a single-ply tire in my experience. I typically run 35-40 front and 40-45 rear and that's where I will start with this new setup. I've noticed that a single ply...

2013 santa cruz v10 carbon delivery updates?

Most of it is in the wheels. I've run single-ply tires with no issues for many years (I know this is sacrilegious to many but it has worked very well for me), and this year I'm trying out Stan's tubeless with the EXO single-ply, so it works out to a 2-3lbs drop over standard 2-ply rubber/tubes...

Why did Obtainium stop making springs?

What I don't understand is why other mfgs haven't copied Obtainium's formula. Shortest free length and lowest turn count for crazy-low weights, plus widest I.D. for fit on any shock, not to mention that sexy dark-clear (laquer?) finish, all features that made them such a sought after product...

2013 santa cruz v10 carbon delivery updates?

No need to apologize. Just to be clear, when I said I wasn't surprised it hasn't arrived it wasn't a knock on SC; I know demand is high on those frames, and I'm pretty sure my shop was not first in line to get their order in. Like everyone else, I'm just anxious/stoked to build mine up! Thank...

2013 santa cruz v10 carbon delivery updates?

Has anyone heard any new info on the V-10s? I've had a medium on order since early January. Not surprised that its not here yet, but it feels like a Christmas Eve that never ends. To say I'm getting anxious would be an understatment. :)

    Carbon V10

Sorry, a tiny bit off topic here, but does anyone know how SC prioritizes their orders for frames? I've had it happen twice now where my LBS has put in my frame order with SC on the first day they are accepting orders for them ('08 V-10.3 and now a V-10.4), and then other local riders who...

Current lead time on 2008 Santa Cruz V10?

Ya, I think you nailed it right there. Anyway, I'm sure I'll be totally stoked and forget about all this when mine does finally arrive. Everyone who already has theirs, post pics!

Current lead time on 2008 Santa Cruz V10?

Yeah, I'm not expecting them to run out and make up the frame as soon as I order, but keeping some sort of 'first come, first served' list shouldn't be too much to ask; people who ordered a few weeks to a month after me already have theirs.

Current lead time on 2008 Santa Cruz V10?

I ordered mine at the end of November, and was told January. Still no sign of it. Not sure what to do. Don't think there is much I can do, but its a bit frustrating to see so many other people getting theirs now. Not sure why, but this happens to me every year, with every bike manufacturer I...

    Michelin bead failure

In the 03 and 04 race seasons I ran Michelin, but I had two front tire beads 'let go' on separate occasions, both at decent speeds. Dangerous business. I've sworn them off since then. The first bead seemed to have stretched, while on the second tire it actually separated. Anyway, if the tire you...

    World Championships 2007

I was told on several occasions throughout this season that those rims are meant to crush in order to avoid flats. Still not sure if thats true, but that photo definatly lends some more credibility. Perhaps with a harder rim, we would have a different World Champion.

    Sam hill turning technique

From what I've seen, Sam only uses that cornering technique in wet conditions when he is coming in too hot. He does the exact same thing in Champery, a massive shift of weight to the rear wheel at the last moment, in anticipation of it breaking loose as he enters the corner. Only in Champery, it...
