Just out of curiosity, what size of the Glory are you referring to? I have compressed my small 06 Glory (that I still ride) without the spring and there is no tire rub with a 2.5 Highroller.
I used to ride a 224 but have replaced it with a Glory (I crashed and dented the gusset by the head tube pretty bad). I wasn't unhappy with the ride caractaristics of the 224 at all, but I acctually like the the Glory more.
The 224 is a VERY fast bike. I think Transcend decribed it s light...
I have temporarily zip-tied my brake hose to the swing arm of my 224. It works fine but I'm going to use the giude wholes cause right now it looks ghetto...
Yeah probably. Remember that article in MBA when some enigineer said they were like 73 % satisifed with the RN01's performance? That was like 3 iterations ago dammit! C'mon mister Japan, I want that Showa/Kayaba stuff!!
Oh, and when Trascend get here he can answer some annoying questions I...
Thanks everybody! I'll try a 350 spring and see how that feels.
Transcend: are there any clearance issuses with e13 guide and swing arm? I seem to remeber you saying something about that a long time ago
How do you guys run the shifter cable. Are you using the giude holes or do you...
Just got my 224 frame with a Swinger 4-way. The frame was delivered with a 450 spring. I'm about 160 lbs with full gear and seeing as the bike has a fairly low leverage ratio (2.8) I think a 450 spring will be a bit stiff. Mojo spring calc. recommended a 366 lbs spring and tftunedshox calc. a...
I would think you'd need to put anonther brace between the rear end and main frame, because right now the bushings on the upper shock looks like they will wear out super fast (probably loose air preasure too) due to flex.
If you haven't designed a suspension frame before I would strongly...
bcd tell me how you would set up the shocks for that bike: wich spring rate for wich shock, rebound adj for wich shock etc...How did it ride?
I still think its one of the best ideas out there and i would LOVE to own one.
Yeah thats the one!! When I saw that bike for the first time I thought it would revolutionize the concept of rear suspension.I assume you didn't apply for international patents??
OBVIOUSLY you run them through a deep puddle of mud (and never wash your bike again)
EDIT: if that dosen't work I'm sure you can get Bullcrew to rasta ano them for you
That is one of the coolest bikes I've seen in a long time. I have some concerns though:
First, if the lower shock compress only after the upper one is bottomed out you probably will go through a lot of shock seals/bushings (bottoming out is never good).
Second, judging from the little...
Thanks everybody!!
As OGRipper said I'm more worried about the frame than the headset. I'll press in the old headset and see how it feels. There will be pics of the bike when it's ready :thumb:
