"Stupid redneck hillbillies vs go green hippie liberals"... Nice, just like the Jets and Sharks in West Side Story...
Sounds like an awesome time with perfect weather. Will need to make the trip some day...
Yeah, or check the evergreen calendar as they pop up there from time to time. Or, just show up at the coal cart TH on the north side of town and see if you can tag along with anyone.
And, I belileve Reiter is temporarily closed....
There are a few tracks in the Snoqualmie valley but all are private and you need to pay to play. Shouldn't be too hard to find web info out there.
Looks amazing. Ended up more tame than it looked w/o dirt. Too bad I have a mental block concerning the Steep Down up higher...
When will the center line be getting started or are you all taking time off?
Dirtmover, the "DH" section is just the bermy section from the "World's Longest Log Ride" on down to the road crossing. Not, "DH" to many but more flowy and generally down and some riders ride up the access road just to session that part. Anotherwords, very basic beginner "DH".
As for...
Heading there in a few hours for some fun.
I've heard Cline Butte (I believe) has some fun features. Seems to be more OR traffic over on the OR page of mtbr which may help.
Heidi, PM me about this weekend.
Huh? I don't see how that is possible. Unless there is a one way sign at the south (far) side of the start ramp now on NE XC which I guess I can see. We've all seen some insanely stupid people tricks out there. IF that is the case, Johan can just bring the start back to right across from the...
WHAT! You guys are actually going north? ;) Fall is great in that area. Lots of the good stuff you both like.
Back on thread: Everything in that description will be packed. Stevens Pass on Monday is a parking lot too so go over Blewett/Snoqualmie instead. Some dispersed camping in the valley...
Take the Ryan's/Big Tree walk/ride up from the corner of the big clearing and it is just past the start ramp about 50-70 feet. Over with pretty fast and not as fast as it looks the first time dropping in. Pedal, pedal, pedal!
Did all those races too and miss them. Eric got into rally car racing and dabbled in a new snowboard binging company around '98 called "Flytrap" if anyone remembers that one. Last I heard he was still doing the rally car thing but that was years ago now and the shop has been long gone.
Those...

Gonna be packed the next 3 days of nice weather....
5000? Westra, are you "fibbing" again? :) What is it really at? Maybe 1000....?
VERY thick skin for taking the barrage of "No's"...
Some building skills so you can show you know what to do.
And, most of all, patience. Because it very likely won't happen for years....
My guess is that if it's such a prime spto, some one would have taken it on in the past decade or so...
Chatted with Mike a little about this last night while I was splitting rungs in the clearing. The increased usage is pushing up the need for signage on the priority list so cross our fingers. The dedicated push ups (while silly IMHO) will indeed focus people on a singular path instead of just...
I thought it was just called, "Deb's"? ;)
Also, I know it's not a real "fun" thing to do but the access trail from the road to the DWB/DC/2Hi really needs work. It's just getting wider and wider as the mud gets deeper and deeper...
Not sure if the pile of 5/8ths at the entrance is slated...
Sorry to hear that Dave.
pnj, the switchback trail next to the road near Dave's exit is the "end" of the SW XC loop which encircles that area and is/will be predominantly uphill once the signage gets in and everyone can see the XC loops are designed to be ridden clockwise. That's all my baby...
Thanks for the additional mileage! If you've been away, you may also notice some settling here and there in the line for a bucket brigade touch up. The loop around is also dialed up more as well. I'll be adding to my sad snow conditions daily total but will be there in spirit. (Note that there...
