I used a bunch of your advice and ended up similarly. All duplicate shims are removed from the compression as well as the remaining 20mm. From the rebound side, I started with the little 11mm spacer against the piston and 2 of the rebound shims (so 1 removed). All filled up with Redline 2.5...
