Has anyone figured out the total elevation gain (if any) on this event? It seems that a couple of hills are not timed, but there are 5 stages (2 in Lost Lake Park, 1 on Blackcomb Mountain, 2 in Whistler Bike Park). I suspect that any climbing would only be in Lost Lake...
Yes, Lets get this ball rolling...I need to see a helmet cam vid first before committing to make a long trip over to Sun Valley Idaho.
Is this a technical trail? Does anyone know anything about this Super D course? I see that it's part of the main XC racers loop.
I've had 4 qualifying races this year, (I need a few weeks off) and I received an email invite shortly after Sea Otter from USA Cycling. It was nice to get the email invite.
Good vid. Looks great everyone. Thanks for posting and thanks to GHY for holding this and promoting the sport. I'll get out there soon I hope. Probably need a Trail Scout. Worth 1 pitcher of beer, every new fun trail you find me !!
Hi Doug. Nice going at Moscow! :-) The course looked sort of tame, but only becuase I couldn't tell how steep it was in the video. (always a challenge). Are you riding DH this fall / winter? Where do you ride? I'm working on getting into a new bike. Hopefully something lighter than the...
Looks like quite a large CAT II turnout in most age groups. Terrific! How many of the race events in the series got sent to USA Cycling? Nice going Eastsiders!
Hi...I like this dh bike. I wanted to ask what the max height of a rider should be for your Demo 8 Medium? How tall are you? Did you ever want a large size? Thanks.
3 days of Gravity racing :-) This event should be fun for all. I think I'll cook up some Pasta for dinner every night. We are sure to burn some calories.
Helmet cam this for us please. It really does bring out more racers when they can see the course ahead of time and picture themselves riding the course. Sort of a ridemonkey see ridemonkey do.

What can I say....It was a great time. Again we were provided the option to get big air on the Amatuer Course with 2 new 20+ ft gap jumps. Photo's should be on www.vastaction.com sometime soon) Thanks to RD and Jonathon Allyn (Kent / Big Tree Bikes) who helped me with the roll in speeds - And...

That was a great weekend, despite the rain and mud. The rocky CAT 1 / Pro course was good but I sure blew my race run. Sorry to hear about Mark's injury too. Kudo's to you Doug for being so consistent on your bike at age 55. You are standing out as a rare commodity in this sport and riding...
It's a lot like newer DH Bikes...lighter than the ones from the nineties, requiring less power to do the same work. oh, and yes the wings are designed to flex - yet possess a huge safety factor in strength.
:-) It was exciting to see... I'm an Industrial Eng on the Everett Flightline
