I wouldn't really classify SJT as a DH trail at all. It is a great all mtn trail, that is really fast and has insane flow after you learn it.
For some real insight, hit up Edgy. He rides up there 5 or 6 times a week. ;)
Edgy I expect a full ride report when you get back. As far as the bears go I only have one thing to say. If you survived a week in the same condo as W4S, you can survive anything a bear could bring.
Cheers,

Jim Meyer is part of the trails4all org. They organize a lot of trail maint with various groups like the warrior society. His quote in the article is exactly what mtn biking doesn't need in the media.
"The guys that are breaking the rules aren't going to like it. Good. There'll be fines...
I think you completely missed my point.
People travel to Mammoth and Tahoe, yes, I agree. Does it help that they are resort towns and that they are hundreds of miles apart?? My point was 2 DH spots within an hour drive of each other will dilute the riding at both places. If there is to be...
I would say the legal battle is 50-50. I could see SS and their insurance companies having much better legal resources and representation than your average Joe.
I don't think there is enough downhillers in Socal for two places to stay open. Maybe some competition in the DH market will...
Mini Cooper....Edgie????
Aren't you the one who always makes fun of Rabie's Miata?
I am not familiar with the Mini, but could you fit 2 people, 2 dh bikes, and 2 sets of DH gear in it? You might need one of those Mini's from that 'Italian Job' movie.
Ghost Town? I don't really even miss SS. I just lightened my RFX up to 33lbs and I have been riding tons of XC. The funny thing is that since I have been pedaling more, I have found that the Doobie Brothers are awesome!!!!
All joking aside, I think you are right. The thread...
:stupid:
I wan't saying that you couldn't spell. I was saying that you can't seem to put two thoughts together in the same post and have it make sense.
Just like the above
Sgt Brown.......bikes.....WTF?
My large RFX is just under 34 lbs with a new Z-1, and I think MikeD is right. I am seriously thinking of selling my frame for a 6-pack. It sounds like I could get a lighter frame and a slacker head angle out of it.
MikeD,
Since you just sold yours.....My RFX is in really good shape, how...
