    You have to expect North*'s timing to be off, it has been for the past 3 years. Getting pissed about the poor timing at North* is like getting pissed at a dog for licking its balls, one just has to expect it.

    They just spent thousands of dollars the last couple years on racks for the chairlift and Gondola. They are not closing forever to MTBing, just for a couple years while they build a new mid mountain lodge and finish up the village. There is a race this weekend also, it is going to me a zoo...

    race this weekend?

    It had to be pretty sweet; in the paper (Contra Costa Times) today it said the DH course featured 10,000' of vertical drop on the 2 mile course. The WTB guys that built the course sure know how to get a lot of DH out of a little hill.

    Boycott N* races

    The whole point of racing is to get your time, try and improve on that time, and beat your competitor’s times. North* is going on its 3rd season of not being able to get the timing right. Which if you are paying to race and waiting around for hours to race is a joke. I am not racing north*...

    Any advice for a newbie doing the SEA OTTER XC course

    You are going to have a blast, the Sea Otter XC race is a lot of fun. It’s NASCAR on bikes. Camelbacks are nice, but can be uncomfortable/ awkward. Do some training rides without one and see how it goes, you still have a couple weeks. Once one gets used to riding without one it's hard to go...
