I'm an ex DH racer trying the 24 hr for the first time. Please be sure to have a beer handy for me, preferably after the climbs. I'll be the slow hairy legged guy on a black Ibis mojo SL. I'm far from XC, and will probably go back to DH racing after this performance.
Don't just bring back the Lawill, bring back the DH6 with a pull shock. That was my first DH bike. Revolutionary for it's time with the floating brake. Love Yeti!
Great! That is exactly what I am looking for. Shifting is somewhat important in DH (when you need it, it's good), but wasn't sure how it translated over in CX. I was leaning towards the kona to begin with. Thanks
What should I be looking into in a bike? Is Shimano 105 group a good group to have? I'm used to crisp shifting with my XO set up on the DH, will the 105 be adequate? I'm looking at the Jake the Snake and the Scott CX team. Kinda like the Scott as it has all Ultegra group, whereas the Kona...
How are the angled cups with the slackers? What angle cup did you use? Any chance you can post a nice side shot to get a perspective? I'm thinking of getting the cc angleset and a single crown. thanks and the ride looks nice raw.
Mid week race? Really? 3 hours north of Boston. You may have a tough time getting numbers to a mid week race, especially if it is a point series over the course a few weeks. For those racers that work m-f; 8am-6pm, they will be excluded.
I certainly hope it is successful for you, and wish...
Just put them on. Highland opens may 7th, I'll be there on the 8th. Real easy to setup the tires though. I'll fill you in after I spend a full day on them.
Buiding up a slalom bike and was going to put 175mm cranks on. Issue I'm concerned with is having my foot hit the tire when turned. I'm building up and older model Sinister DNA. Not my first choice, but I have the frame lying around. Just looking to see if anyone has this issue.
