Hello Monkeys,
Come this time next week, I'll be back in the PNW and would love to hook up with all-mountain riders. I'm staying Southwest of Puyallup and have a number of family duties to attend to for the first week or so. Meanwhile I'll be building up a Chumba FV2 and will be itching to...
Hey David,
What's up? How's things in the Ham? I imagine you had a busy summer riding and shooting.
Things in Korea are cooling off rapidly. Though today is a very nice day that I unfortunately didn't take advantage of and ride. Oh well, hopefully the rain that's on the horizon will hold...
I'm at a loss. I'm trying to disassemble an older Headspin hub and cannot for the life of me, remove the free hub body.
The freehub is quite wobbly.
I've also noticed, now that the axle is out, that where the drive side bearing aligns with the axle, the axle extends beyond the 'seated'...
With the current price of Saint derailleurs, I'd really like to run one. But I need to be able to use the problem solver axle and I don't know if it's compatible with a Gusset Jury. Anyone in the know on this?
Dwaugh,
hey mate, how's it going. You wouldn't by chance be the guy I road with in August whilst staying at my buddy Ryan Wilson's house would you? I was that slightly older guy on a Preston. My rear brake cut out halfway through our ride and I bailed earlier than I wanted to. If this is...
I get home from two years in Korea on the 3rd (very greatful). Your concert, I'm curious, who, where, what time?
Things I'm greatful for
1. Two awsome years teaching in Korea
2. Having met some amazing folks who've made my stay as good as could be.
3. Know this is another home anytime...
I'll stop riding trails in a way that might cause a limitted amount of damage as soon as logging companies and develpers stop knocking down all the trees and building houses in their places. I'm sure a slidy rear tire doesn't quite compare to a catapillar track. Or islands...
Glad to see gas prices aren't affecting everyone. Guess Bush's "everyone should try not to use as much" speach is like everything he says. Meaningless...
Was a wonderfully fast weekend just out side of Seoul. Had 9 monster bike doing the bullet train express down some of the sweetest shuttleable trails in South Korea. Fook ya! Cool hazy day with a poky bit of warming sunshine. Very good, very good indeed.
Good night, Just finishing my day here in Korea. getting ready for a week in Japan then it's 6 weeks of training for my first triathlon. My goal is to finish so don't expect too much. Maybe friday I'll get a chance for a ride. Having recenlty come back from a severe foot brakeage, the...
Any of you guys know a guy named Scott Meyers. He used to frequent Boundary Bay Brewery and the 3B. I used to ride with him about 3 years back when I was living in Bham. Any help is grately apreciated.
Like I said, none of those names mean anything to me. All in all, who gives a sh!t about the money? Everyones over paid anyway. Especially me. Think I'll go for a ride.
Not that I don't like to go fast, but maybe it's a good thing that downhilling is losing popularity. If DH does anything it insights speed junkies to go out and ride at break neck speeds in areas that have very sensitive relations with other mountain users. It also takes some of the nature...
Will do Skookum.
Where you located? It's funny but for the five years I was riding in the PNW I only road a handful of times outside of Bellingham. I'd love to be shown around. I'll be home in early December, I'll look you up for some sloppy fun then. It's been so long since I've riden in...
May: middle to end. Bring a sleeping bag. Won't be staying in motels much. Baths will be taken in icy rivers. Or generous fellow riders houses. I'm well outfitted on camp supplies. We'll just need food and fuel, good weahter and few mechanicals. Start putting together road trip mixes now...
Good to hear nothing but riding is happening inthe Bham area. After witnessing what happened on the ridge then getting on a plane the next month, I never really knew what the extent of the damage was. I used to visit the site from time to time but never got too inspired by it. I read about...
I need some advice,
I'm in the market for an all mountain frame. I have an AC1, a Transition DB and a Mrazek Boh-FX. I love the Transition and the Mrazek, but have never gotten into the AC1 which I thought would be my All mountain. It loves anything not too steep, either climbing or...
I too ride a Dirt Bag. Super sweet frame... got a last year model but still paid 800.
Figure I made up for the cost of the frame by getting an 03 super T for 300. Had less than 10 hours on it. No scratches and looks sweet on my freshly painted DB.
I'm in total agreement about going cheep...
This is looking good fellas.
By the time next year rolls around I'll have more info on trails and not enough time to ride them.
Dwaugh, you're right, Galbraith is the sh!t. I spent about 6 years in Bellingham. Went to school there and worked for variour companies after. Hell I've...
