No...I do not personally know about airplane avionics, but car wheels and computer parts have tons of variety. Specs on different bolt patterns for cars. There are about a trillion different types of RAM for computers some of which are incompatible if you are building a computer. Or there is...
I don't think you understand what we are talking about here. We are talking about the clamps being tight and the whole grip back and forth in the clamps maybe 1/32 of an inch. Its really not anything more than an annoyance NOT the whole grip slipping around the bars and causing crashes.:monkey:
If nothing else works you could try and cut the tube down. You might be able to cut off the bent part...you would only lose an inch or so of post extension. It would probably be better than trashing the whole frame.
Nothing is confused...changing gearing is unrelated to the torque provided by cranks. Shorter cranks provide less torque. Gearing is a way to compensate for less torque...if the OP wants to buy new cranks and rings.
I figured...the comment had to be made though.
If I don't have horizontal drops my preferred tensioner is an old used shortcage road mech, they have quite strong springs and the price can't be beat. I got one for free/cheap a long time ago and it works great. See what your shop has floating...
I have been happy with my Planet X rims. I'm with you in Rynolites being weaksauce. I think I might have the discontinued BMF model, but check out the LMF they have held up well for me and have a machined breaking surface.
You do realize that different people designed the Intense and SC bikes? And those people came up with different designs... And if there was one right answer every bike would be exactly the same, just with a different paintjob...:lighten:
I've never seen a hut at trails. Out here it's usually just some down logs to sit on. Of course here in the PNW we have these things called trees and shade. Really, who builds jumps that aren't in the woods?:disgust1:
I guess it all comes down to the geography and flora of your area. Or...
Check out the mad river area. I hiked a ways in on one trip and there were quite a few lakes, some with tons of trout. Motorcycles are allowed for part of the year so check the access rules for bikes etc, but it could be good.
Get something hard shell, softshell shinguards are pretty useless in my opinion. I just about only ever hit my shins on my pedals.:disgust: And something soft isn't going to stop the impact of metal and poky pokyness.
Go to a motorcycle shop. They will have a huge selection of ff helmets sized for tiny kids to huge ogres like me. I have never seen a bike shop that compares to even small moto shops for helmet selection.
PA thing? Do tell.... I haven't been on the forums in forever. Self defense I had to stop looking at bike stuff because I have no money. :D Hannah got me talking about bikes and I had to look stuff up on the B&S and I got sucked in again.
I'm a wuss and am actually trying to get shown around...
