    Avy guys

From what I recall, the weight limit on the DHF-Ti is for rider without gear (Craig has a gear factor included). Also, the types of drops the DHF-Ti was limited to were something like 6-8ft (irrespective of tranny), I want to say the limit is 6ft to flat but don't quote me on it. My DHF7-Ti...

    new Knolly website is up

The Delirium T is one sweet bike. I took mine for a ride today and had a blast. Noel did a good job of keeping the great handling characteristics of the V-tach and matching them up with a lighter and more nimble package. It makes for a great all mountain or bike. It will be interesting to...

    new Knolly website is up

Had a marathon day yesterday helping the Knolly crew build up bikes for Interbike. They have their own booth at the show this year and they will have a number of V-tachs, Delirium Ts and a couple of Free Radicals on display and for the demo. They even managed to get a couple of the 5x5...

Interesting application for a 5th Element

Noticed this picture surfing today. Very short eye-to-eye. http://photos.motorcycle-usa.com/buildoff---012.jpg Oh yeah, this is the article: http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/Article_Page.aspx?ArticleID=3463&Page=1

    Quick Double Barrel Review

Stupid question, but have you talked to Cane Creek about it? It may need re-valving. I seem to recall a post by DW where he talked about the special valving needed for the 5th Element to work right with the DW Link.

    Quick Double Barrel Review

Tuning seems pretty simple so far. High speed rebound is obvious, tune it till you don't get "kicked". High speed compression you tune for bottom out. Low speed rebound and compression adjusted in/out in tandem to tweak small bump sensitivity or pedal bob.

    Quick Double Barrel Review

I bought the shock back in May but have not been able to give it a real tryout, outside of XC'ish rides, until this past weekend. It replaces a 5th Element that came on my Knolly V-tach. My only non-platform shock experience was a Vanilla on an RM Switch. Cane Creek (Malcolm) was good to...

So Manitou springs are suspose to fit 5th Element shocks.....got a ?

From the research I did when I replaced my 5th with a DB you may need a spacer. Check out the Go Ride site for the Renton Coil Spring page. They talk about it needing a spacer for the 5th (same spring on the DHX or Swinger does not).

    Double Barrel reviews.

I can't answer the long term question yet since I've only had mine a few weeks. So far it's lived up to expectations. It replaces the 5th Element on my Knolly. The rear end is more plush and active now so I'm pleased with the upgrade. I'm still tweaking the settings so it feels better all...

    Ducati releases the Desmosedici RR

Well, they had to do quite a bit more than just adding flashers to the GP bike, but that's just nitpicking. Looks cool but I would never buy one even if I had the money to burn. I've ridden a 999 and was not overly impressed; it's italian, it has a lot of idiosyncrasies.

So Yamaha is going to use a dw-link on the M1 to solve the chatter problem Rossi is fighting?:)

    New Demo 7 pic..

They are just doing what they should have done in the first place. The old Demo series was full of a lot of expensive technology (design and manufacturing), it was more of a 'look at what we can do' bike than anything else. So now after a couple of years they are trying to solve the problem...

Saint rear derailer fitting on a standard hanger ?

Yes, you can adapt the Saint to a normal dropout. You need to have a new B-axle made that is around 0.100" longer than standard. Drawbacks to doing this are cost and you also lose access to the smallest cog on the cassette. I run one this way because I already had the derailleur and the...

    Whistler trips

Being 'a little slick' is not a problem. I'm talking about the slip'n-slide condition it was in on opening day last year. They managed to do a lot of armoring and woodwork to help keep the trails intact but there is much more left to do.

    Whistler trips

Hopefully they will wait until it's dry enough this year before they open it. Last year it was too wet at the opening and took a beating. Plus, some of the stuff up there is scary as hell when its that wet and greasy.

    MX helmet for MTBiking??

One thing that tends to get left out in these discussions is FIT. To get the most protection out of any helmet it has to be a good fit. Don't get hung up about a particular brand/model. Try a bunch of them on to see what fits your head, make any downselect from there. FYI, I started using...

    brembo vs........

The Gustav beats the Saint/XT easily. It's heavier but has more power, good modulation too. Can't say about the Hope, never tried them. Lots of my friends have been running them for a while witn no problems. I guess it depends on your application. I switched from XT/Saint to Gustav for my...

    Progressive Turn Around Time

I had mine rebuilt in Nov. or Dec. and they quoted 1 week (not including shipping). They were pretty close, I think it took 1.5 weeks.
