I am curious to see if anyone else has had a crack/delamination on the front triangle of their Undead? Just contacted Evil hopefully I will get a response soon.
Im running the vivid air in mine and have been quite happy with it. Recommended tune was the 'A' tune which is a L/L tune. I couldn't find one so I ended up with a M-rebound / L-compression tune.
The cracking is normal and just paint seperation, Kevin sent me some pictures showing whats...
First thing I did was bring it to two differenet industrial bearing distirbutors to get it matched, Commerical Solutions, and BC bearings. Both told me to go back to the manfacturer as the bearing size in the undead is an odd size at 17mm OD 10mm ID, 7mm width
The closest bearing size is 19mm...
My undead developed play after 1 day at whistler in the spherical bearings. I'm still waiting for replacement bearings since opening weekend. I've been told from Kevin that early production they received a batch from enduro that were out of tolerance, and the only way to find out is to ride...
Thanks! I'll look into KMC the next time the sram link goes again, not if but when.
I've been riding my v10c in 8.5 and while it is quite "poppy" it still feels like it prefers to stay on the ground and just eat everything up. where as with the undead, it can plow but i've found myself...
Finally got my first ride in on the undead. Sram power link blew off first run:rant: but the bike carries speed well, I'll get another go tomorrow with a chain. Feels pretty good definitely feels more playful than my V10c.
I'm trying to confirm if my frame is in the slack or steep setting. if sitting on the bike normally and the slack arrows are pointing back towards me. Is this the slack or steep position?
Yeah sounds similar to me I have to run both spacers on the drive-side and no spacers on non drive-side. Also had to space my mrp g2 quite alot to not rub the swingarm. Other than that she went together smoothly :).
Almost have mine built, still need a rear brake adapter, I seem to have every other one except the one I need lol.
I weighed my frame before assembly, medium with vivid air sitting at 9lbs. 8oz.
Anyone riding XO DH cranks, are your cranks fairly close to the swingarm? i.e. only a few millimeters
Thanks for for the responses. Is an "A" tune the same as "Low","medium", or "high" tune thats the only thing i've come across while looking for vivids.
I recently picked up a brand new undead warranty replacement frame, but since it is a warranty replacement it has no shock. Which rear shocks are guys running / recommend?
I have no experience with the double barrel, and I'm coming off a V10c with RC4. Should I stick with what I know or try...
